What? Daigo matches are almost always nail biters for some reason.


On that note, I went to sleep early last night so I didn't get to watch the matches live. Just finished watching them and am happy that Mago and Momochi won their matches. Mago just made Mochi look really FRAAAAYY.

Just started learning how to jump forward > H.punch > Cr. H punch > SJC > Ultra 2 for Ibuki. It does 588 damage.

So far, the essential 3 ways to SJC into ultra 2 are:

1. The one I just explained for jump ins.

2. Cr. jab > st. jab > tc 6? (l. kick to m. kick) > SJC > ultra 2 since it's one of Ibuki's BnB start up combos.

3. TC4 (jab - m. punch - h. punch) > SJC > ultra 2

Now I have to perfect them and apply them into my game. Going to take a while...

c.lp->c.lp->s.lp->s.mk->sjc->u2...pretty much off of anything you want honestly

it's not too hard...it's as easy as s.lk->s.mk target combo IMO if you can do that one relatively easily...i prefer s.lk->s.mk->sjc->super :p

At first, I was like hyperbole and over exaggeration but it was pretty one sided. His footsies/pokes and combos are pretty top tier right now with Fei Long. And the Dhalsim seems like a tough matchup, especially against a player of Momochi's caliber (he had to be good to qualify into GGO2).

I'm surprised Mago wasn't sponsored. If I were Hori or Madcatz, I'd have gotten Daigo and Mago, since they're the two who are consistently talked about, top 3 in BP (for OG SFIV), etc.

Right now, it's a toss up between Daigo, Mago or Sako (course, Daigo and Mago beat him in the last set but now it's ft10).

Also I wish Team Battle mode was finding people in arcade request, I don't want to do ranked for 30 fights in arcade request. :|

I would honestly sponsor Mago and Momochi a long with Daigo. Those 3 always bring in the audience. I noticed a lot of japanese stream monsters always cheering for those 2 as well.

-2 on lp hayate blocked would be good. Increased range on EX Karakusa, being hit invincible, while the normal ones are throw invincible wouldn't hurt either. Top it off with 1000 HP and a faster walk speed and Makoto would be a much better character.

In all honesty, I did throw that Last Dread Dust out trying to get the tail end of your poke to punish to the win. The sudden lag didn't help AT ALL, however. Fucking bullshit that I suddenly see you poke, throw the Ultra, WHIFF and eat Ultra. FFFFF.

Oh well, that's 5-6 wins for you and 4-5? (I think 5?) wins in Team Battle for me. Nearly there. Now if someone on GAF wants to
throw
some battles so I can be done with this mode and pester them in Endless... :lol

And Valle seemed to have a decent strategy to shut down Rufus' air game but Ricky switched it up.

That old man bodied Filipino Champ, J.Wong, Combofiend and came close to winning winner's final.

Give respect where it's due. Valle has managed to remain relevant in the fighting game community for more than a decade. If not top 5 in US SF, definitely in top 10 (some might argue Arturo, Sanford, Wong, Marn, Flash).

Forgot about Ricky. Def top 5 easy. Probably Justin, Ricky, Art, Alex and Sanford.

And it's not about dick riding to recognize someone's accomplishment or what they've done for the community. I would agree with some that Valle can have a pompous attitude or he handled the "f" word incident the wrong way. But since Alpha 2, he's been a main stay in the fighting game community.

Surprised no one isn't calling Daigo an old man, since he was big about the same time (or Sakonoko, etc).

People don't call Daigo old because he isn't but they certainly call him out when he doesn't perform like at SVB. My main point is people like to praise certain players when they're playing godlike and then as soon they drop, its like oh man why does he refuse to play up to his potential. And once again when they do well its back to dickriding. Daigo is definitely a good example of this cycle.

That entire last round, I was all "I WANT TO DO MY ULTRA" and then from my point of view, I see you do a
usual
random ultra, so I'm all "YOU'RE GOING DOWN".

The lag was screwing up my headbutts on wakeup. It was ridiculous.

I remember you once said that a player's strength didn't matter as much as long as their personality was godlike.

In a way, that parry video is Daigo's persona in the community. It's no different than people recognizing Wolfkrone specifically because he's a pad player, or Juicebox because he dances during ultra animations.

Interacting with spectators for SF streams is a lot like interacting with sports enthusiasts. They form their own alliances/loyalties to certain players for superficial reasons...even to the point where they're prone to believe/say asinine things. That's the center of dickriding.

I still hate your Dee Jay and curse you and your family for that shit. God, I hate you throwing out projectiles only to slide. "BLOCK LOW!"

Even if this goes 10-0 to Daigo, it's going to be a very long FT10 because Daigo plays extremely patient in this match up. Almost no rushdown whatsoever, even when he has the knockdown. Nearly every round so far winded down below 30 seconds at least.
