I am not sure who you were when we played (probably the Bison) I was using as many footsies as possible (not sure that you count that as mashing - it is very effective with Ken).

yeah i love how he intentionally did a hands and pause 3 times to make sure he knew how warahk was going to react (pause/normal, slight pause, sb). Love it when people pick up on subtle details like that.

Yeah exactly, that's the kind of stuff that makes SF in general so great for me. Not that it's impossible in other fighting games, but the nature (and pace) of SSF4 makes it easier for viewers to recognise those small details.

Archived footage from a Mississippi tournament recently with some high quality players all around including Jakob002 (one of the best Bisons in the country; had the SRKLive win strike record until WolfKrone just beat it this past weekend), ARK XI (aka Arkansas Mike; one of the best players in the South and after Grand Finals, Jakob002 proclaimed him the best Ryu in the US), PJS Ace Kombat, Raekwon (OG MvC2 player; godlike in other games as well), and Toi504 (recently won the UCC Texas Major).

Tell Mike we need to talk about that Grand Finals match. He was far too aggressive when he shouldn't have been and far too passive when he should have turned it up. Oh well, good shit for you guys repping ARK.

In my defense, this is what every single player I asked told me when I was trying to get a scouting report on Ace: "Don't pressure on his wakeup, he random DPs A LOT. Also DPs in the middle of blockstrings."
I spent the entire match trying to bait a wakeup DP and then got flustered because he wouldn't do it.
But I'll let Mike know.

Why do I stick around for so long in an 8 player lobby to get my ass handed to me? Why do I still enjoy it overall, when any other time I'd quit out after the first loss and find a smaller lobby? I had 1 win in like, 10 matches. Why.
