A couple of videos of me playing AE from University Arcade in Philly. As a Shoto player and a life long Ryu player, naturally Evil Ryu was the character I wanted to try the most. Of course he's very familiar, but all the subtle differences can make a big difference. You just find yourself doing things you shouldn't do and not doing things that you can do because of these changes/differences.

One more thing, you may know about Gief's EX green hand not knocking down. But until you get hit by it yourself, you just don't know.

Me vs a Gief player. Overall it was 2-1 her. I won the first with Ken and then lost the 2nd two, wanted to try Evil Ryu one more time before we left.

Me practicing Evil Ryu's combos. The link after the axe kick and cr. LP into st. HP both appear to be one frame links. I had a pretty hard time doing it consistently at the arcade. With more time I think I could be more comfortable trying it in real matches.

Overall I'm really looking forward to AE. I'm going to put a lot of time into Evil Ryu and I love the changes to Ken now that he can combo into sweep from both st. LP and st. MP, hitting two consecutive 1 frame links was kind of sweet. Plus I didn't even try Yun, Yang, or Oni because my time was kind of limited. I went in the morning so no top players were there, so the two players I played in the videos above were the only other two there.

People are in nyc don't have much access to AE so a lot of us stick to characters we already play/know. There was one Oni playing casuals which was pretty cool.
