Honestly, the player level on GFWL is great for me, but I don't see how this is going to help him get better. It would be different if it were one of the consoles were other tourney players like Valle, Krone, Yeb, JR, Latif, Banana Ken, etc play.

I tried it awhile back but it was not a pleasant experience. I run 64bit vista and it was just too much trouble to get it to work at all and once I did it was crashing on me. Then I had to replace my hdd and I didn't want to deal with the pain again.

Hmm, for that match I was actually using my stick for the first time with AE PC and had alot of input lag. For whatever reason when I played with keyboard there was definitely no lag. Gotta see whats up. Simple combos weren't coming out. I even did instant axe kick to bait that ex karakus at the end but it didn't come out

Good point. I can see where you and Saty are coming from. My train of thought is for a tourney player like him to go to ranbats and local tourneys. He's friends with the best player in the country (and Floe/JamesChen/etc). But there's nothing wrong with grinding on the internet. I hope he can reach top 8.
