Sandersforpresident is already calling Warren a corporate sellout because she didn't endorse. I really really hate the mindset that you're either pro-Bernie or you're a corporate sellout. SHE DIDNT ENDORSE ANYONE ANYWAY. Good hell that pisses me off.

That is a bit silly. :P

I mean, they could say that she is playing politics, which is probably fair...
corporate sellout is just an absurd accusation in Warren's case.

It's the holier than thou mindset Sanders has cultivated. He is right, everyone against him or not supporting him is an establishment operative and corporate sellout. I'll vote for him in the general, but he is definitely not my choice for President.

I think accusations are fair when based on facts (taking money, being part of the political elite, etc.)
Accusations have to be backed by substance. I agree with many of Sanders accusations of Hillary and Obama. I have been making the same accusations for 8 years.

Calling Warren a corporate sellout is silly. (it is important to remember that this was done by certain supporters, not the campaign itself)

MA is going to be hotly contested today and I do think it is a pretty critical state. I do think a Warren endorsement could have swayed the election one way or the other. It is not just any endorsement like many other meaningless endorsements are.

Any evidence to this? Link?

Green-Rainbow assholes. Ultimately that's why I voted for Hillary this morning.

There something just as rotten as the teaparty in the far, far left supporters of Bernie. And that sucks.

Does Cruz have a realistic chance of losing Texas?

I thought it was pretty close in Texas before the last debate but with the way Trump has been getting hammered from all angles since then, I think that kind of secures it for Cruz. Probably won't win by a ton but yeah. I'd be pretty shocked if Trump still somehow won there.

Voting Bernie.

Looking forward to the swarm of smug passive aggressive condescension that will descend upon me like a thick soup of fog.

Voting Hil if she wins the nom. I'm not a fucking idiot, Bernie just represents my interests more. No way I'd ever not vote or vote a Repub if he drops out though.

I wish there was a pre show for super Tuesday on the WWE network. I'm sure heel Lawler would be all in for Trump. I'd be interested where everyone else fell.

I think I'm just getting a bit too restless before the exit polls start coming in. I want the drama!

So hopefully Trump comes in at a close second then (in TX), I don't think it's a winner take all state

From what I read Cruz needs to get 50% if he's even going to get a decent amount of delegates.

I looked back and Cruz actually lost the primary race in 2012, but was able to win the run off.

My thoughts on a VP pick is it will either be Julian Castro or Cory Booker. She's definetly gonna be looking for someone to get the minority vote out, and being young doesn't hurt either. Not that getting minorities to vote with Trump in the race is gonna be hard, but still.

I know a lot of terrible people on board with Bern. Scary people all around the board this time out!

Bring back Nader.

It's an issue I see with his supporters. At least on twitter. It's Bernie or nothing. Most of them also push the "why is the black community supporting Hillary? Do they know Bernie was there marching?"

Some also believe these recent last minute endorsements are going to help him

Now this is equally silly. Voting based on a loud minority of silly supporters? Well it is your vote I guess.

Equating Bernie supporters to the tea party is not only unfair it is stupid.
The "far left" characterization might also be unfair. Issue by issue, the majority of americans agree with his policies... still pretty center left by any reasonable metric.

Don't why people would be condescending for this view. Many people (including myself) are taking this approach.

I mostly see people talk down to those that want to sit out if Bernie doesn't win the nom.

I don't have any worries about the minority vote. Since it going to be Trump. She needs the youth voters to turn out though

It's sort of sad that this mindset is what is gonna get his most diehard supporters to turn on him when he loses and starts supporting Hillary like he claims he will. I can easily see them calling him an "establishment sellout" and "not one of us" when that happens.

I expect a good chunk of the fanatical Bernie bros to switch over to Trump.
I doubt it. Some of the more fanatical ones might say they will out of salt, but come November I guarantee it'll only be a handful of people who would vote Republican over any Democratic nom.

It is an interesting discussion worth having no?

It is a discussion worth having... plenty of "Black leaders" support Sanders. They are just not as high profile. More State Senators and activists vs governors and DC congress people. I do think this difference is important. Clearly has more sway with the establishment.

No it's not. You're establishing supporting Bernie Sanders as the litmus test to determine who is "moving left"

You're basically arguing white folk are more progressive than black folk because they support Sanders (nevermind that Sanders lost white vote in South Carolina and trails in all demographics other than 18-29).... don't do that.

I am hoping for Bernie even though there is no hope. The U.S: really needs a greater change of direction than offered otherwise.

Perhaps his candidacy (and trump's) will push for a different party politics and a split of the parties. Two monoliths and FPTP obviously is just not working anymore.

There'd be a lot of people urging her against choosing Booker, since his Senate seat would be temporarily filled by a Christie appointee and there'd be an open seat in New Jersey. Given how narrow the Senate is likely to be, not good strategy.

Also, while the importance of regional diversity is in my opinion overvalued in assessing tickets, conventional wisdom would militate against a New York/New Jersey ticket.

I expect a good chunk of the fanatical Bernie bros to switch over to Trump.
People were saying the same thing about Hillary supporters after she lost to Obama in 2008, but that didn't happen. It never does.

Any good stream to follow today? I can't wait for all the craziness that will happen today.

So I am living at college about an hour from home. I filed for an absentee ballot last tuesday and they said they sent it that day. I still haven't received it. If I were to drive home and cast a vote in my home district, would that be allowed?

"DNC Chair DWS Joins GOP Attack On Elizabeth Warren's Agency.
Payday lenders get a new ally. Wasserman Schultz is co-sponsoring a new bill that would gut the CFPB's forthcoming payday loan regulations. She's also attempting to gin up Democratic support for the legislation on Capitol Hill, according to a memo obtained by The Huffington Post."

They're not wasting any time. It has begun, the pro bank wing of the DNC is now starting to really turn on the Warren/Sanders wing after lifting the rules on accepting lobbyist money.

Already getting reports of shenanigans here in Alabama. People that are voting at Church of the Highlands aren't being given Democratic ballots and a place in Concord is only giving out Republican ballots regardless of what ballot people ask for.

WTF? I wonder if that'll be the case when I go to vote this afternoon. I'll make sure and follow up on here.

You are misconstruting what I said.

My issue isn't with progressives or even Bernie; but those looking to sour his campaign for their own agenda. Unfortunately, I've come to the conclusion it is a (vocal, albeit minority) problem when looking how they're tearing down other Democrats on the ticket.

With Bernies chances slim to none, I think it's time to stop that and start working together.

They can fuck off to Jill Stien, and stop pretending to be Democrats working for an inclusive, progressive future. I have very little patience for third party bullshit, and even less for Wolves in sheep's clothing.

No condescension required.

That is saved for those who will childlishly vote for Trump or abstaining from voting all together when Hillary is chosen as the nominee.

Castro is an unqualified lightweight and Booker is, not that I personally care much, Wall Street's favorite senator. I wish Dems had a better bench.

I doubt it, they have already picked Water Boy before South Carolina

As if DWS couldn't get any shittier being the DNC chair.

Polls say no. Which sucks because he's gonna hang in there thinking he has a chance elsewhere.

Man I want these losers to hang on for as long as possible. Let the convention be contested or brokered I say.

I don't see Sanders being a catalyst for any type of split in the Democrats. Big issue for Dems is midterm elections, which Sanders' younger demo doesn't come out for anyway. Party isn't really that divided ideologically, and nobody is going to jump ship.

Now the Republicans... we might be in for quite the show there. Trump hijacked their primary and is putting them in a position to lose again. They should have realigned a bit after 2012, but this is a much bigger wakeup call. The writing has been on the wall for awhile, I think they just attributed the failures to other things like apathy over McCain and Obama's popularity in 2008, and then incumbent advantage in 2012.

That's true. What Hillary needs is a young hispanic/African American junior senator (or Cabinet Member) from Ohio, Florida, or any swing state, really. Assuming the state has a democratic governor that is. That's ideal of course; I cant think of anyone who fits that profile. 2/3 would be pretty good me thinks.

It will be intresting to see who she chooses if/when she is the nominee.

If where I go to vote after work pulls that shit on me I'm considering just walking out. And I'll be sure to post here to let other Alabamians know.

As an outsider DWS has been worse than the GOP candidates. The dems need to out that woman and ban contributions from companies.

All camps have their zealots.

If Bernie doesn't make the nomination, I really, really want him to run for DNC chair as unlikely as that is. DWS is as much as a hack as Coakley was up here in MA state politics.

We need someone running the party with Brains that is looking to win races. Not sit by and manage defeats and interests.
