And the most important in American history!

Like in 2012.

And back in 2008.

And 2004.

Also 2000.

And the one before that.

Also before that.

Seriously, though. 2010 was probably the most important election in recent memory. It's what gave us the Tea Party Caucus, the thing that's been severely fucking over the country for a while now. And it was also a census year, meaning the GOP got to redraw the election maps in their favor. The Dems have got to quit being so lazy and apathetic about mid-term elections. There are three branches of government, after all, and the Executive (President) can't do shit without a reasonable Legislative (Congress).

Holy shit @ the latest tyt videos, I feel bad for the poor souls who get their news from them, they have no idea just how badly Sanders did.

Those guys have gone full Hillaryis44.....

Man! I AM SO FUCKING DISAPPOINTED AT THE CROP OF CANDIDATES THAT SPRUNG UP THIS YEAR! TRUMP SHOULDN'T EVEN BE ABLE TO BECOME A LEADING NOMINEE FROM THE GOP, AND HILLARY SHOULD'VE JUST DROPPED OUT BECAUSE OF HER EMAIL CONTROVERSY!

What is happening to the American Democratic Election process? Where are the trustworthy, charismatic, honorable, and supportive candidates of days gone by?

Am I wrong in believing that US politicians never had the best interest of the US middle class at heart, or the worry in helping the common man/woman get by, and that this latest group of candidates is just another symptom of the larger issue of the rigged American electoral process?

It's situations like these that make me lose faith in my country and makes me ill in casting my vote (even though it is my right and duty as a citizen to do so). I mean seriously, do I vote for the candidate who says controversial and frankly complete nonsense like barring all Muslims from coming into this country or do I vote for the candidate who says that she will get things done (even though her trust has been completely eroded). Which pill do I swallow? God....

Get real. There were 5 states Sanders could possibly have won in. He won 4 of those 5. Given the circumstances he went in with, he absolutely didn't perform 'badly.'

Is it over for him? Some would say it was weeks ago. That doesn't mean every performance from here on out is a 'bad' one. Jesus, these forums.

No, I meant the candidate her or himself, has not done the work of convincing you that they should be your pick for President of the United States. They are campaigning, putting their best foot forward, trying to appease any and all reservations and concerns about them as a candidate. If we have severe concerns about her, and she can't convince us that they are moot, why should we vote for her? Just cause?

Meanwhile, several independent and one democratic candidate have convinced me to vote for them as my President of the United States. So one of them will be who I vote for. Period. Again, I will be voting on election night for a candidate whose policies I agree with, and who I can stand behind as a person. Many others feel the same way. These candidates have done their job in convincing us to vote for them.

I have fully said the reason I am not voting for Hillary is because I do not believe in her as a candidate, nor do I believe she has the betterment of many of this nation's poor and suffering at heart. It's not just a matter of not being interested; it'a a matter of not agreeing with her as a politician.

I just can't really understand the point of wasting a vote, as we know that an independent vote just ends up working in the opposing party's favor.
It's a stupid system, but one we are still forced to live with so I feel like understanding the process and at the very least choosing the lesser of two evils (from your POV at least) is the most responsible decision.

Then again, unless you are actually living in a swing state it really doesn't matter anyway. \_(ツ)_/¯

Rubio has to stay in the race up to Florida's vote. He pretty much has to do that.

Will he ditch the race if he gets destroyed in Florida by Trump? I think it may be awhile before Rubio catches up to Cruz in the delegate count but I don't know how popular cruz is in the next states on the map.

It's a good night for him, but honestly, I expected him to win everything but Texas

Every poll said that Cruz would win Texas. There were no surprises there. I'll admit Cruz winning in Oaklahoma and Alasksa were unexpected but Trump still crushed it.

Edit: fuck my reading comprehension.

Yeah you're right.

I don't really understand why setting up a private E-mail server (which, admittedly, was probably not a wise move, but in no way illegal) means that Hillary isn't a qualified candidate for president of the United States.

Don't even try to pretend this isn't an exceptionally strange election cycle.
It IS true we say this pretty much every cycle, but yeah this time is bonus serious. Mind you it's partially the GOP's fault! They're the ones deciding to put a SCOTUS seat up for grabs along with the presidency, which is a rallying call to the Democratic base and hurts their chances at keeping the senate, which was already a tossup anyway. One of the major parties on the verge of falling apart is such a rarity that Democrats need to take huge advantage of it. So, yeah, this wins for "most important" in quite awhile.

The country moved a lot to the left socially with Obama and one party wants to undo pretty much all of it. That's sort of a big deal, too. Arguably there hasn't been such a rapid change since the end of the civil rights movement. Economically we moved right on the state level, but that'll take 'til at least 2022 to fix.
Rubio not making the threshold in TX is just the best.
This is my favorite thing for tonight since it puts Cruz higher than Rubio for the day, but Rubio winning Minnesota gives me sadface. At least he only gains a net +2 delegates out of it (hilariously). Whatever, more chaos please. Rubio would be least appealing to face in the General but none of the GOP contenders look like they'd make very strong nationwide candidates at this point.

He's screwed, though. Florida is it for him. He loses and he's out. Won't actually drop out, mind you, because he's been assured a spot at the front of the line at a brokered convention, so he'll be a dead man walking on the campaign trail. Hopefully Kasich stays in through that (Ohio is the same day) and he'll steal a bit off of Rubio again. It's going to get uuuuuugly there the next 2 weeks. Rubio has already thrown out a small penis joke so, hey, the bar has been set for it to get hard to get much lower than that.

Also I've seen a few twits downplaying Donald "Laziness is a trait in blacks" Trump's success today.

It's pretty funny.

It was a good night for him, but he could have done better. Trump's not in danger of not getting the nomination right now, but cruz did managed to move into second place in the delegate count.

Can't believe Palin couldn't deliver Wasila to Drumpf. They must really not put much stock in her opinions.

Unsurprising I guess as she did quit her Governorship to become an amorphous media entity slash reality TV star.

GOP base don't seem to like people refusing to do their jobs. Explains Rubios result as well I guess.

Palin has ZERO pull anywhere at this point.

It's not just setting up a private email server, but the fact that she did her work as Secretary of the State through that private email address that is the problem. There is a reason why you are given a work email address when you are at work: so that it could be monitored and tracked and the company (govt in this case) knows that you are doing your job correctly.

If everyone used their private email addresses as their work, there wouldn't be any way to track down those employees who are specifically doing illegal things on behalf of the company's time, expense, etc.

This is a huge matter of trust, and I just don't understand how a candidate can run when he/she has this controversy behind him/her. Almost as bad as the Nixon tapes...almost...and it should be treated as such (the only it isn't is because Hillary as the backing of the DNC and they will do all they can to make sure she becomes the nominee, which means silencing this matter as much as possible....)

WHAT????

Probably because even her own supporters can't figure out what the fuck she's even talking about every time she goes into one of her trade mark one-sentence-circular-self-derailed-ramblings.

Okay, bro.

So Rubio drops out if he loses Florida, right? Those 99 delegates are winner take all. If Kasich wins Ohio and Rubio loses Florida, I can see Kasich outlasting Rubio. Not that it'll matter much.

Carson will probably drop out by the 2022 midterms.

Holy shit it took me a minute to realise why that quote was in my post.

Word of warning the chrome extension which adds quotes in Trump's name adds them to posts you are quoting.

Vermont
Sanders 86.2%
Clinton 13.6%

For every 1 person that voted for Clinton, 9 voted for Sanders?

wtf lol. how is that possible.
