Because they're BOTH DEAD. Jean's been dead since I was in Junior High School. Scott killed Professor X because Scott Summers is a Super Villain.
Nobody noticed Peter Parker was a Super Villain for a year because at this point you literally cannot name a member of the human race who is not a horrible asshole in Marvel Comics.

no it wasnt. it worked on the sense that marvel seemed to be under the light of some retardation ray. his "friends" seem to just let him do his thing as checks somehow were fooled, but creating an offshore army and forsaking his friends is completely in line with what parker would do. and then theres the killing.

Wolverine, Carlie Cooper, and Detective Watanabe noticed something was badly different. Wolverine got shit on by collegues, Cooper was kidnapped by the Goblin King when she found out, and Watanabe is trying to keep the city from falling apart from both Octavius and Goblin.

Superior was dropping in quality(though it already had a few problems IMO) so I'm glad its ending.
Wolverine initially gave up when Otto threatened to sue him and nothing came out of his later suspicions while Peter outright told Carlie about the swap and it took her until a few issues ago to actually act on it with Watanabe.

I don't read comics, so I don't know how this works. Will the Amazing Spider Man be different from the Superior Spider-Man? If it is a continuation of the events of Superior Spider-Man, then why change the title?
People mentioning reboots is also confusing, as well. Is this a reboot? If so, does the Doc Ock/Spider-Man have a resolution? Comics are so confusing.

It's like Dark Reign where Norman Osborn ran SHEILD (HAMMER), read it knowing it's going down in flames and it'll be fun as hell.
Amazing turned into Superior when Doc Ock got put in Spidey's body. Now Peter Parker is back in the driver's seat, so they're going back to Amazing.
Well I am actually behind since I read the Astonishing Spider-Man, the UK version of the comic.
That's only if Sony doesn't go bankrupt in the next 2 years, I have heard that they have a 79% chance of doing.
It's a continuation of the events but it's being renamed since Superior Spider-Man will no longer exist as Peter will gain back in control of the body and not Doc Ock.
Yup, it's like when starting a new season of a show. We're now on episode 1.

I see. I was under the impression that "Superior" and"Amazing" signified different universes, similar to how the Ultimate universe is different than other comics.

Unless of course this is all part of Mephisto's game. For all we know he could have bet on Parker's inevitable resurrection. The only question is what more Mephisto is hoping to con out of Parker. Probably doing it just to see the look on his face when he tells him "Yo dude I retconned your marriage and then you slept with me."

Perhaps they'll come up with some convoluted way for ock to still exist as superior spider-man, wouldn't surprise me if he sticks around in some fashion or another.

I don't mind him, but he is very inconsistent. I used to like a lot of his artwork during ASM but the last few issues of Superior he did weren't too great.
I've enjoyed what I've read of Superior so far but I'm happy Peter's coming back. Hopefully Miguel gets to do something soon!
