Pat Patterson gave his notice to WWE last Tuesday and will be retiring this week. He had cut back his duties tremendously several years ago, but went through stretches of being more active or less active behind the scenes. He worked very closely with The Rock during Rock's boom period. He recently had major disagreements with Triple H behind the scenes, which may have contributed to his leaving the company. During the '80s expansion years he was Vince McMahon's main booker.
I watched tons of WWF wrestling in Italy in my early teens and began wtaching Wrestling again when I moved in the U.S. (mostly WCW strangely) then passed to Raw and Smackdown and now I mostly watch Raw.
And somewhere in the locker room, all the young low carder wrestlers are celebrating. At least Paul London won't have to worry about his gag reflex anymore.
People still watch wrestling? I haven't watched really any since Austin had his injury...and then it just got more stupid as the years without him went by.
