If you like Wargaming, you'll love this. It's also available on Steam! Looking to form a running game with NeoGaffers to see what happens. 16 Player Multiplayer!

With far less emphasis on Graphics, and much more emphasis on scale as few RTS games have ever accomplished.
So what is Supreme Ruler 2020? Well, the Year is 2020. A series of diplomatic breakdowns and resource crisis' have shattered alliances across the world. In the scenario we'll be playing as, larger countries like China, America, Russia And Canada have broken up into smaller regions, conveniently enough often being provinces and states, and the world is extremely volatile. Will Texas be able to take on Mexico without the support of other Local States? (Countries?) Will the individual provinces of Canada be able to ally together to repel the renewed policy of manifest destiny? Texas is always looking for more oil.
So yeah, you can play as any state or province, or part of a country. You ARE running the country though, it's not all about your military.
Good job! You took unemployment down from 22% to 2% over the course of a year or two through massive Government spending into social programs and construction of facilities to ensure that you never run dry on resources. The GDP of The Average Citizen has skyrocketed. But now inflation has skyrocketed to 35%. The value of your currency balloons faster than you can draw from it to build what you need to build. Your choices have consequences.
Did you decide to declare war on a neighboring state because you need their oil, or timber, or industrial facilities? Watch out, their friends might not like that... If you declare war for no reason, The UN will write you a a sternly worded letter, or if you declare war on an ally, your other allies will become very wary of your actions... Maybe they should strike you first, before you strike them.
Anyone up for taking over the world, one state/province at a time?
