I wonder how my game Maseylia: Echoes of the Past ended up on your list of mostly AA/AAA and highly anticipated indie, but it's an honor in any case 😎

I'm looking forward to Donkey Kong, Hollow Knight: Silksong (you seem to have forgotten it and Hades 2 in your list) and Metroid prime 4 this year.

007 looks awesome too!

I noticed Virtua Fighter 5 REVO wasn't on there (already announced but no date).

This lineup makes me happy

I strongly think we'll get the new 3D Mario within a year. Hopefully there's a Direct soon or after Bananza has released where they share more news.

I'm surprised Capcom didn't put out any RE games for the launch. That would be easy money for them.

Mario Kart World stands apart from anything else Nintendo has as their only full on next-gen game, and let's just call it a $80 difference. Nothing wrong with this list of games that can be had elsewhere and "upgrade packs", but I'm leapfrogging ahead. I want the new next gen Mario and Zelda titles.

They already two games for launch day. I do think RE ports will come later.
For sure they will get them at some point, but I'm surprised that wasn't a priority. RE was always a big game for Nintendo fans. And it should be pretty easy to get any of them up and running.

yes re engine already port all game come bookmarked

I don't know what is more impressive, that list of upcoming titles or how clean the text is.

Random question for Switch 2 GAF:

Is this sold out everywhere?

I got a nice pay bonus and was finna cop one next week. 👀

No. Nintendo has tons of stock. Go buy one.
Don't have money now so I have to wait until next week.

Hope it stays that way.

I was going to wait but id rather start finishing up Zelda totk, and be ready for Metroid prime 4.

Still wish they'd update all the Xeno games to be 60fps :(

About a 3D Mario game, isn't the new Donkey Kong being made by the Tokyo based Mario team?

I don't know for sure but I suspect it is. If that's the case we should probably not expect a new 3D Mario game so soon..

Thought I saw it posted somewhere on here xeno updates will be winter!

Ah cool yeah, just get one when you can. I went in a bit tepid, but I love the switch 2 so far. It's the switch pro everyone always wanted.

Proof? This has me mad hype if true…

Can't believe none of the Xenoblade games have received 1080p/60 fps updates! Come on Nintendo don't do this, do the right thing and update all your important switch 1 games! Or at least the ones that could REALLY benefit from a patch...

Tried Metroid Prime Remastered ...it does not look good on the 1080p LCD screen ...

Metroid Dread looks OK but looks better on the Oled

Smash Ultimate looks surprisingly good despite not having a patch

Luigis Mansion 3 looks better on Oled

Pikmin 4 looks better than I expected but could look amazing with a Switch 2 patch

Legends Arceus looks bad/worse than Oled

Both mainline Fire Emblems, both Hyrule Warriors, and Bayonetta 3 really could use updates

Astral Chain needs 60 fps

Kirby games look alright but not as good as on Oled

See the pattern? Games could look and RUN better on Switch 2 but unless they're patched they tend to look better on the native 720p Oled screen

Ok I have basically played nothing of the SW1 library except Zelda botw.

Potential list for when I get one next week to consider but likely won't buy more than 2-3:

Mario kart world (getting bundle hopefully)
Metroid Dread
Metroid Prime (already own it.)
Xeno 1&2(already own them)
Zelda totk (already own it)
Tropical freeze
Mario odyssey
Pokémon violet (is this the best one?)
Luigi's mansion 3
Super Mario RPG
Paper Mario
Bayonetta 2&3
Raidou

I think that's a healthy list to consider. I'm trying to pick up 2-3 games and I'm keeping in mind I want my 7 year old son to play.

The most likely are:
Tropical freeze
Mario odyssey
Dread

He can do Mario and tropical and I get dread plus all the games I own digitally I mentioned, plus we both can play Mario kart together.

What do you guys think?

Edit: Did a bunch of searching and it's still sold out everywhere. Idk why I trusted a random gaffer that I can get it from Nintendos website when I still don't even have an invite for a chance to buy.

Ugh. 😑

Metroid Prime 4 is sure to be a banger and Donkey Kong Bananza looks great. I really wish Nintendo would do a direct though.

If the rumors are true and they had the console ready for a while but were waiting on games, how is the slate so sparse?

For sure they will get them at some point, but I'm surprised that wasn't a priority. RE was always a big game for Nintendo fans. And it should be pretty easy to get any of them up and running.
For some reason Capcom likes having Street Fighter at a Nintendo launch, and then bring RE later. That's what happened with Switch and 3DS.

I bought the switch 2 for Nintendo games almost exclusively, so I'm hoping a new 3d Mario gets released this year

I'm looking forward to new Fire Emblem game.

Say what you want about FE Engage's story and character designs but actual gameplay, maps and combat animation was fantastic.

It's a nice start, but I'll be disappointed if they don't have a direct soon with something else for or before the holiday and a few more titkes for the launch window.
