Xena's picture. Is ME3's ending really that bad? :lol

You could master them, but it's better to get all the skills and go onto the next one. Mastering takes quite a bit of SP as you can tell, so it's just better to move on or tell the system that once it hits Tier-5 switch to another title so you don't have to go into the title menu. For the costume one, you have to get all of the skills up to Tier3 for the title before the costume unlocks. Happens with all costumes.
That's the reversible cover for the Japanese version of the game. And yeah, the child phase is pretty slow, but as soon as you get into the adult phase it picks up quickly, especially in battle since you get access to B arts.Schala, where did you get that yellow covered ToGF box, and why few people got two copies?
I played for a hour and half, and I felt it is kinda slow atm. I am sure that it would pick up faster when I hit adult phase.
Does this version has the reversible cover? Like the japanese one.
1. No, don't bother mastering them. I always set the auto to 5 for everyone. Mastering has a couple of benefits - there's a few titles where the master effect is actually useful (when I was playing on evil I actually tended to switch back to a handful of mastered titles), and if you've got all your titles to 5 then mastering X amount of them unlocks a new title. Generally though you want to be collecting the stat increases and artes off as many as possible.Seems like a lot. I've already got like 10 for Asbel. Question though. Should I be mastering them, or just getting all the skills and going to the next one? Kinda sucks the stat raising ones don't carry over into the next title. Also, the preorder DLC title. You have to unlock the new skin? I see ! Costume under the skills. Cause switching to this title didn't change my look.
All in all this game has beaten Legendia in terms of my favorite Tales. Number 1 still goes to Vesperia.
But... but... I haven't really done much work for this thing next week, but I want to play Graces. I could schedule my usual game time on the weekend to now, and study on the weekend instead. Hmm...That's easy. Relax and play Graces for a while!
Yellow cover is the reversible alternate cover for the Japanese version. I like it a lot better than the default green cover. Edit: Beaten.Schala, where did you get that yellow covered ToGF box, and why few people got two copies?
It just seems that some people like playing through the game, and then when they get their endings, I hear so many complaints about it, lol.Unfortunately for most fans of the series (including me...), yes... it's that bad. BUT some people do like it, so... to each their own? Hahaha.
It's pretty cool playing a Tales game in HD... the last one I had played was Vesperia on 360. I hope this one sells well and Namco brings Xilia as too. Also, did I mention voiced skits? Hahaha. Playing Abyss on 3DS was very awkward on the beginning when there was no voices NOR sound when the skit came up. What a relief.
No.Does this version has the reversible cover? Like the japanese one.
You can definitely do that, but like you, I prefer to take my sweet time with things (and I'll try to unlock Evil in the Childhood Arc, but I might lose patience since the artes the kids have aren't as nice as the Adult ones).Thanks. Good to know. I guess I'll leave this title equipped for now. Did I hear you can rush the child part in 30 minutes? Man I must be going slow. Of course I'm fighting every monster I see, and exploring every nook and crany.
Nope. They use the artwork on the instruction manual though.
Okay, I'm a little bit into the adult arc. I'm liking the story so far (but then again I'm a sucker for lots of Anime stories). The voice acting is good in the adult arc.
The combat is a little....weird. I tryed Symphonia out before, and compared to this, it feels somewhat stiff. The combat feels like some kind of weird cross with Super Smash Bros. and Kingdom Hearts (well that wouldn't be weird at all that would be friggin' awesome). I often find myself unable to do attacks because of this CC system. Also, this "auto" and "semi-auto" system is a little confusing. Sometimes I wonder whether it's the computer controlling the character or I am. I'm aware that there is a "Manual" option, but I haven't unlocked it yet. Also, maybe it's just me, but switching between A and B-Artes feels kind of delayed. I suppose it's because you pay 1 CC for doing it, but I don't know.

I'm going to still play this game all the way through though. I've gotten used to other battle systems in the past, so I'll keep going and see what changes.
Assuming you mean the 'When this title is equipped your physical attack raises by 4%' or whatever effects that you have when you first get the title, rather than the skills you get by levelling said title up? Nope, no way.Is there a way to keep the stat raising skills in a title when switching to a new one? I guess you'd be overpowered if you could.
Jesus Christ, this game. Was going to only play for an hour but an hour turned into two, and that turned into three, and now it's 6PM. >.>
Good thing I didn't have any sort of prior obligations today.
I forgot how freaking stupidStupid////Queen Slime is.
Why no one post the Wii Version with their Graces Jap/Vesperia Jap/Xbox? =/
No love for the beta testers?
I'm one of them. =|
kayos fails at spoiler tagging. Fortunately they don't seem like bad spoilers. But still! Failure.
Easy, definitely. Fair amount can be done okay on normal, but there's a few that were tight even with 10x EXP on a second playthrough. Better not to risk it and just go right down. That was a spoiler? Just a bosses name?
I beatShould I do the bosses on easy, or most of them easy to get on moderate?Bryce in 40 secs or so, got the trophy.
I don't have the Wii version. :/ (It came out before I decided to take advice from the GAF Homebrew Wiki, and I didn't really see the need to import it after.)Why no one post the Wii Version with their Graces Jap/Vesperia Jap/Xbox? =/

Look forward to me complaining about チムピオーンボア when I get there. A few other later bosses whom we shall not name too.Disgaeamad said:It'll be nice reliving my rage at bosses through this thread. That thing was just the start of awful things to come.
I love that about this game, most definitely.Either way, I'm loving the game so far and the combat is opening up some more now. Love the visuals too. Simple but full of color.

It's a different style. First word that always comes to mind to describe Graces PS3 is 'clean'. Played the Wii version back when it came out and the improvement in graphics is pretty crazy.Yup. The graphics are awesome. If I didn't frequent the net and didn't know about the wii version I would have never noticed. Then again, I have not played Xilia and that might be a lot better graphically.
I lost count of how many hours I had to grind for that one on NG-less evil. Good lord.Look forward to me complaining about チムピオーンボア when I get there. A few other later bosses whom we shall not name too.
Yeah it's in the strategy/AI settings or whatever. You can set what you want the AI to prioritise doing, and when you want them to switch into healing mode (someone on 25% HP, someone on 50%, 75% or just flat out heal if anyone's less than maximum.)So can you just not tell someone to heal in battle? Like do they just automatically do it?
Also outside of battle, I take it there's no way to heal with artes?

What are the chances of Namco putting the dlc costumes on the ps store? I want to buy all the ones not available in-game.

And nope, because of the CC system you have to use cooking or items outside battle.
Ah, thank you both! I totally love the CC system way more over the old system though so this is totally cool by me. Battles feel waaaaaaaay more engaging, active, and fluid, and lots of little systems seem to have been revamped to actually be useful and fun.Nope, that's the only minor downside about having CC instead of TP. Good job CC is just so much better in every other area to make up for it though!
I did it on NG-less Chaos and it pissed me off so much. I was close to lowering the difficulty to Evil a few times. I think I might do the sane thing and just do it on a lower difficulty this time. The XP and SP aren't worth the frustration.I lost count of how many hours I had to grind for that one on NG-less evil. Good lord.
LOL, I'm looking forward to it too... unless they aren't stubborn like a few of us and decide to do it on Easy/Normal/Moderate.Haha, I look forward to the entire thread complaining about that monstrosity. It really is crazy.
I don't think I could survive a NG-less chaos run with all my hair still intact, there were a few bosses I just wanted to ragequit on the game on evil as it was. Intending to beat the game on chaos at some point but I'm going to need something from the grade shop for it.I did it on NG-less Chaos and it pissed me off so much. Most of 'em trigger around Discoveries or Save Points. Try going into Inns and go towards the inn's save point too since skits'll trigger there.
Haha, I look forward to the entire thread complaining about that monstrosity. It really is crazy.
Yeah, though I feel they aren't so difficult you HAVE to grind to beat them, you can beat them with lots of clever dodging and skills. Are we talking bosses that are so hard, and take so long to beat, that I'll actually have to take a break or two mid-battle?
There were definitely times where I went a little nuts over a few enemies, especially towards the end, and during postgame. :/I don't think I could survive a NG-less chaos run with all my hair still intact, there were a few bosses I just wanted to ragequit on the game on evil as it was. Depends on what difficulty you play on. There were a few on evil that were definitely tough enough to require a break. It's not so much long as the fact you'll get pummelled mercilessly and have to rethink how you're going things. Generally skill and strategy changing will get you through, though there were a few bosses that seemed to delight in soaring over the battlefield and murdering my healers. Repeatedly.I like the sounds of this.
