Mass Effect work is excellent!
That turtle is nice, clean straight lines, I like it. The Mass Effect-leg is really nice, so so good.
Yeah really, both done at the same studio too by two different people. They are insane.

So do you guys know that guy with the strange and weird looking Stick 'n' Poke tattoos? Well, that's me. I also have some professional made ones but I prefer the broken look and the ugliness of Stick 'n' Poke.
Some of them
I know that these types of tattoos are even more controversial even in the tattoo community but for me, nothing is more personal.
Yeah, that's totally ok with me. I'm very well aware what most people want when it comes to tattoos. The aging part is not true though. Some of my tats are almost 20 years old. I use tattoo ink and tattoo needles. Not ash and piss, lol.Using that in anything other than a tribal or rudimental pattern just looks disgusting. They don't look like they'll age well either. I'd take a tattoo gun anything day of the week over that.
Are you looking for opinions? Because if so - let me say that in general, you don't want something you can actually see. You'll get SO sick of looking at it, I promise. Think about how many times in a day you see your arm. In short sleeves, with a forearm tattoo - we're talking hundreds and maybe thousands of glances in a day. That was the killer for my forearm tattoo, which is just about gone now, thanks to my lazer guy.I've been playing with the idea of getting a tattoo is this abstract style. Worried about how much they fade though
I have this tattoo.... And I got it originally about 15 years ago. I love it. I've had it recolored and enlarged twice and I am ready for it again.... but this time...
I want to un-tribal'ify it.
It seems like it would be easy enough. But I am coming up short on ideas. Do any of you feel like offering some advice? I don't want to do anything in the middle - but I'd like to figure out a way to enlarge it, but to make thing thing look less tribal, and more - I don't know - Victorian maybe. I like the art style seen in a lot of compasses from old maps. I don't have lots of tattoos, I have this one, which I want big. One big tattoo.
Anyone want to offers some ideas on how to un-tribalify this thing?

Thank you!

P.S. Age of Sail, Age of Discovery era maps and their compasses would be a design inspiration. I don't hate this.... and maybe that can be worked in somehow:

Now as for that design, it's not suited to my taste, but I can see the appeal. I like mine for its' meaning. I love the sun, and outdoor crap. So I got a sun. A stylized sun, but unmistakable a sun. And I can not see it. Where I've had 4 tattoos in my life and have had three of them removed, this one stuck. If you won't get sick of that and/or can't see it unless you're in a mirror, then go for it. My advice is for tattoos in general though. I personally would find it hard to fall that much in love with a random, abstract design.
These are fucking excellent. My horror tattoos. Next one coming at the end of the month.
These are some of mine. Obviously not the highest quality shit.
Such an incredible body of work. He only does one tattoo a day and I think his waitlist is months long.
Hey can you post the high res of these? These are fucking excellent.

I'm interested in getting black and orange half sleeves of Halloween shit like black bats and cats and pumpkins, just simple 2d stuff almost like icons. The issue is my arms from shoulder on down to mid forearm have pretty bad (to me, but I'm self conscious) stretch marks from before I lost weight.
Has anyone had experience as an artist or customer tattooing over scar tissue? Is it a reasonable idea?
Sorry, on my phone. I don't mean to kill anyone's browser. I'll put in quote tags.Hey can you post the high res of these?
*fuck*
Well this is timely!
My partner and I are getting our first tattoos this weekend and I'm getting a couple of extra ear piercings.
I am v v v excited!
Hmm I wonder what that is
OHH GOD I AM AT WORK
Come back and tell us what you think of the whole experience. And post pics. And tell us what your after care is so we can argue about the correct ointment.
I pretty much disagree with all of this. Also, that tat looks great, the style is called Trash Polka. Are you looking for opinions? I really like the idea of a tattoo. And my gf wants to get another one/have me get one.
But I can't for the life of me think of anything i like enough to get on me forever.
There are certain song lyrics i like, but that I think would come out superrrrrrrrr emo sounding. Which would not really be my intention.
I also am not sure "just words" is an interesting tattoo.
When I try to think of anything visual i come up completely blank.
a year ago I didn't have any tattoos...they are addicting...

Thank you, I'll assume the skull caught your eye, haha.
That artist has free reign on my back when I can afford it.

I think if I met a chick in real life with horror tattoos I'd probably fall my damned fool heart into love almost immediately. You've got to be single right? ... I just couldn't imagine a girl waking up to face one of those! ... Love the Friday 13th one most!![]()

Would a kind tattoo veteran be able to help me please?
I'll be getting my wrist one on Saturday. I have a client meeting all day on Monday (rotten timing). My plan is to simply wear a vest top and a loose fitting cardigan. I'm prob worrying unnecessarily, but that shouldn't be a problem, should it?
Aβydoς;121400674 said:An advice: I'm getting mine (on the wrist) this 30th. The 31st I'll leave for a week in Barcelona. Do you think maybe it's better wait after the vacation? I'd like to show it off there but if it can be best not to I won't. Thanks
Yeah you won't show it off after one day lol. I'd really advise you to read into how to take care of tattoos, what to expect after getting one and what products to use on it and how, as well as what NOT to do right after (swimming, sun - oh god sun destroys so many tattoos) and so on.
So yeah. Don't. Really.
Very cool!My first tattoo! Unlikely to be my last!
I wish I knew of a good tattoo place here in Atlanta. Anyone know of any?
Went through a phase where I pierced my lip and eyebrows in multiple places.
Slowly but surely worked my way out of it, but the last one left a lasting scar.
Haven't bothered since.Ripped it out of my eyebrow after crashing on a quad in Arizona.
I used to have a scar on my eyebrow from headbutting a sharp wall when i was younger. Old ladies thought it was a birthmark. After twenty years it faded and now i have two complete eyebrows. It'll fade.
In Twenty Years.
Very cool!
Didn't know this thread existed. I just emailed my tattoo artist (whom I was referred to by multiple people who sport his work) my idea for both of my forearms. It's going to be similar to the pic below, but with his own spin on everything obviously. He's going to draw a completely original work for me. I just requested that it be "sort of" biologically accurate. Just in placement of the mechanical portions that are visible. There will also be two metal plates on the underside of each wrist, each with the initials of my 2 kids either with raised stamped lettering or possibly etched or.....idk. Whatever he comes up with really as long as I like it.
