Goldrush is fun, though the one full game of it that I played last night was a bit uneven and we were crushed until the last point. Overall, the mechanic seems sound and the design good.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of these.

Yeah. It's usually a pretty good server though.

By the time I actually joined that game, my eyes were completely fried out from not blinking for hours. Would have been fun to have played more than 5 minutes.

You're right about standing near it. One game we were stuck at the final point. Meat grinder city. I'd suicide in and kill 2 or 3. Meanwhile, the stupid medics on my team were all trained on the heavies sitting atop the building and chaingun sniping stragglers. Hello, people, it ain't moving itself. We've got 10 feet to go. Can you get down and help the 2 people actually going up to the cart?

It's ok, the command is out there. There are also commands to unlock each individual achievement.

Damn tried to get the Placebo Effect achievement the whole afternoon.......and I was not alone. Stupid achievment.

I got it on a server with Goldrush with about 5 people - My teammates distracted the BLU team while I snuck around and bonesawed them from behind. Of course with every kill your crit chance increases so it went pretty fast especially as both guys on their team were medics.

21/39 achievements done now btw, including First Do No Harm, Peer Review and Placebo Effect

You guys are right. I found out that you CAN actually reset individual achievements. I reset all of them except for the THREE (lol) that I managed to unlock honestly.


But it's pretty funny, the 1,000,000 healing points achievement is literally classified as "HEAL_GRIND." :lol

I had the 1mil achievement and 7k achievement in one life stuff unlocked at the start. I die too much so I didn't have 10k =( I wish the Bonesaw wasn't 100% achievement rate. That's going to take forever and it's the one I want most.

Soldier/Medic isn't quite the team it used to be after the ammo nerf, but anyone calling you a noob for doing so only shows how much of a noob they are. Besides, you could always refer people to your stat page.

I was in a sever last night with about 8 medics on each side. Sucks because people actively seek out the achievements instead of just playing the game normally and getting them in the process. Things will all come back to normal in a week or two though.

There's no way for them to be able to undo. Achievements, lockables,are handled client side and not server side.

newest patch knows if the cheat was used or not. So people best not be using it.

Wow. You know what's sad? Until I read that, I never even considered how that nerfing affected ubers. I'm so used to only getting ubers when a medic is in desperate condition and my ammo is almost depleted, that I forgot the glory days of RichardFun/The Storyteller ubers with 6 shots in the chamber.

I left out Puyo from that list cause our overlap times didn't seem to occur that often, and when we did, I never had the impressive runs I had with the others. Pressing too much I guess.

Hope they didn't lose the original stats and their accumulated health earned. Cause Valve would suck if they did that. Cheating is good when the system sucks. Hope Valve learns this and radically alters future classes.

Actually it almost guarantee's a medic healing you all the time so I don't think it's that big of a deal.
