New players always seem to think they can kill everything themselves, but when you're outnumber, you're generally fucked unless you're a really good.

Otherwise, take the back routes and side routes on the map and attack from the sides and back. I try to do this as often as I can, but it just takes longer to get into the action. But if you're a scout, pyro, or spy, and you attack from the side, you stand a better chance for a kill AND you draw attention away so that your team can push forward if they're distracted with you.

tonight was the first time i wasn't constantly getting my ass beat. dunno if i'm slowly improving or if it's a case of nobody paying particular attention to where i was.

This supposedly gave people a heart attack back in the day, and Scorsese does an homage to it in Casino. Or it could be like Shane where the audience does not know if the hero lived or died at the end. Well in my clip I ran to the gateway afterwards where a Heavy/Medic team mowed me down. If I could do it over again, then I would throw a taunt in at the end.

That's Kuro logic, you don't want that.

Just hide behind cover and spam nades until you run out of ammo, then chuck stickies.
Then run to a dispenser and repeat the whole match.

I find that personal TF2 skill increase happens without notice. You'll still get killed for stupid shit, but you'll realize that you took down another player or three during it.

It's okay dude. I play like crap all the time. But it's team fortress so it's okay if your not doing your personal best, just remember to push the objective and help out your team. Keep it up you'll get better, it takes awhile... but it's worth it in the end (have you seen my hat collection?).

I used to play up until the first wave of weapons... thinking of getting back into this as a time waster. Maybe I'll hit up the GAF server to get my ass rocked. :x

The hit detection is probably golden, if you could see the hitboxes.

It's the lag compensation that is fucked up. And part of the reason I'll never get back into TF2 hardcore like I've been in the past. It's fucking awful.

Hit detection always fucks up my scout play. A pyro always burns me from a distance that SHOULDN'T even be close to me or when I play Pyro I can't burn anyone unless I'm on their faces. That piss me off greatly sometimes.

This is the truth right here. TF2 games are different than most FPS in that one dude can't take over the game and win it for your team (unless he's a pro or something). As long as you play the part of your class you'll be helping the team.

If its about my weapon, then back burner, shotgun, and axtinguisher.

Edit: Mouse button one? I don't mess with any of the key bindings. My interface always resets itself every time I load. Can't save favorite servers too. Really annoying.

We're just busting your balls. Pyro + backburner is the class/combo everybody makes fun of for being relatively easy to master.

At least the reskin should have been of a useful weapon, not the fucking boston basher. Lugermorh, Iron Curtain and Enthusiast Timepiece are reskin of nice items and they look good, not this crap.

The bat sounds is just plain lazy job, they have the eyelander/claidmoir/katana sound for that even.

I don't see the problem. Valve gave some hats for people who didn't do this a long time ago, but who gives a crap, they aren't doing that again and it is not bannable in any form.

There's a better way to idle though. Through some idling program via text or something, I really don't idle. Ceebs or DrKirby should know.

You're going to get them eventually, might as well just speed up the process so that you can be on somewhat equal footing with the people who already have the weapons.

The hats were for people who didn't use the third-party program to idle/unlock stuff, I thought. I don't know of Valve doing anything to people who used idle/achievement servers or TF2 itself to idle.

Agreed. The only bad part about achievement servers is messing up your stats :(

The F7 servers banned people who used idling programs or admitted to it. Fucking stupid imo.

From the main menu, click "manage items," then the "stats" tab at the top, and on the right side is the "reset stats" button.
