For probably the last 2 or 3 years, whenever a pyro starts up I feel like I can't see anything behind it. I just figured it was normal.
I think that's how it's supposed to be too. It adds to the ambush making you panic.
Think of it as a Battlefield Bad Company 2 simulation (heyooooo particles everywhere in your snow levels).
After playing so long without ragdolls to preserve FPS, I keep them off because I'll often try and airshot a flying ragdoll and waste a rocket.
2v2 (or more) Bball is awesome from what I've seen, allows for crazier jumps than just 1v1. Usually 1 player involves themselves in body blocking while the other does damage. Should try to fill a game with all GAF soldiers.

I think people started realizing if you only play the same 4 maps over and over and over, the server dies quickly.

Except dickyard isn't even fun to mess around on, 5gorge is far from the best 5cp, and goldrush is, you know, goldrush. We've played better maps than that when we decide not to play gorge and hightower.

Objectively speaking, crits are already off*.
Also, where we're going, outmoded concepts like crits and objectives will be a thing of the past!
(They're off more than they're on, so Off is technically the default).
I don't know about everyone else, but some times I enjoy playing maps that I haven't played in a long time, even maps that aren't great like Gold Rush and 5Gorge.
