Hey everyone, I've just started to get back into TF2 after a nearly 2-year hiatus, so I'm expectedly rusty, but I'd like to start playing Heavy in Gaf highlander matches... So I was wondering, is there some sort of skill floor you're looking for before you let people into those, or can I pretty much just sign up? I'm certainly not deadweight, but it's also been a very long time since I played in any remotely competitive games.

Sign up! If you have a mic that's a bonus, but teams are balanced based on a point system awarded to each individual player (based on k/d ratio among a variety of other things that I can't remember), so since you're new to the server and presumably will have a low or non-existent score, your team will be compensated accordingly.

Basically, don't worry about it, just sign up.

You must have done something incredibly over the top, considering stuff like explicit gay porn sprays is fine with most everyone.

Pretty much the only stuff that gets people banned besides cheating is homophobic language/racist language/misogynist language. Basically XBox Live stuff.

You should really learn to read. It's been nerfed.

Stats before patch:

+20% damage

Stats after patch:

+20% damage when undisguised
-20% firing speed
No random crits

This is actually a relatively sizable nerf. Since backstabs deal 6x current health as damage, spies tend to have a high random crit rate. This also means the first shot does standard damage if the spy was disguised. The lower firing speed also basically negates the damage bonus for non-wounded enemies.

Whether it's enough of a nerf has yet to be seen, but it's definitely a step in the right direction. Especially considering that the weapon has been in the game for almost a year without being changed.
