One problem I see, Beebop and Rocksteady don't look as intimidating as they should be, *because* the turtles themselves are so massive. Maybe it's intentional.
I'm talking about the whole self-serious schtick like the Transformers movies. This looks more light-hearted than that, feels like the Nicktoon Turtles.
Say what you will about the first movie, but the Snow Chase scene was a really great action scene. I was expecting to hate it based on the trailers, but I was kinda blow away. Looking back on it now, it feels really similar to the chase scenes from Fury Road. Obviously not on that same level, but still features the same sort of acrobatics.

probably Shredder again...
well its going very much for the cartoon
as in, they're not gonna be as "intimidating" as just comic relief
im super glad this is the way they're presented and not all "OMG shadowy" as if it was some big reveal
they're supposed to be dumb
They can be both dumb and intimidating, in fact them being dumb can actually make them scarier.
I know right, mutant warthogs and rhinos will never be rendered in picture perfect realism.
Why are you guys saying its down? It's up for me.
Yeah they're definitely of a lower quality in comparison to the turtles.I meant the quality of the CG but nice snark.
Rocksteady and Bebop looked really poor CGI wise. The designs are good, just need more work.
Seriously though they know they could drop the steroid turtles and the superhuman strength and no one would mind right?
As it stands that's my biggest obstacle to seeing this.
Isn't that him in the trailer? Thought he was the younger looking guy who pulls the claws out for Bebop and Rocksteady. I assume he's younger looking because of falling with the ooze at the end of the first movie.

Anyways, it looks like a fun stupid film to me. Kasey looks cool. I like how Bebop and rock steady look and the comedy will be on par with the last one.
well, first movie definetly has it's audience as it was a big hit
it's easy to say from our perspective but there's a bunch of kids with toys of the turtles that look like this and whatnot
can't blame them for being on-lock now. changing the outfits is already somewhat satisfying

they look a bit better
but
yeah.
Fuck it, I'm in. I didn't make it halfway through the first movie but this looks dumb enough that it could be fun for someone who remembers the cartoon.
Man too many people live in the past . My son loved the first got super excited over this trailer should be fun.
that's oroku saki, yeah
fuckin 'Eric Sacks' is in this too tho
If you mean "ninjas" as "shadowy spy/assassin", only the original black & white turtles fit that bill, and maybe the ones from the first movie. Even the somewhat more serious 2K3 turtles were more Martial Artists than straight ninjas. They're closer to the Naruto brand of ninja than the Ninja Scroll one. It's not the look so much as the fact the enemies have to be scaled up to make a good action scene and that they can't even remotely be ninjas.
I highly doubt the audience would care.

CG doesn't look too clean. Probably still in post.
Megan Fox still looking good though.
Also, is this a crossover with The Avengers? Is there now an Alien Portal Over New York City Cinematic Universe?
As am I it's awesome to share with my son something I grew up with. The only reason people in here seem interested is because of the play on nostalgia for the 87 series.

Didn't Sachs die?

I would still love to know if the theories are true about him originally being Shredder, and then them deciding late in the game to split Sacks and Shredder into two different characters. It seems like it was true given some of the stuff Fichtner said in interviews beforehand, but I'd love to hear the full story from someone involved.
Actually in his eyes it was great you know the target audience !That's understandable. It's just too bad it couldn't have been a good movie you two were sharing.
