VF is dead in the West, but Yakuza was never born there, lol. Also Tekken got made to compete against VF, it's honestly a great fit.

Once again, I wouldn't mind him at all! He's pretty cool looking and he fits Tekken indeed. BTW it's dawning on me that Wei Shen (Sleeping Dogs) would also be a great fit :0

Yeah I am pretty sure they said the next arcade update will be adding the new characters to FR (along with I assume the console balance changes).

But VF characters are as bland as its art style.
 
VF chars are cool but most of their martial art styles are already represented in some form or another by existing characters like vanessa & dragunov.

Working on a way to add interchangeable health meters. And maybe some lights. And add a glass door.
 
I'd appreciate more martial artist characters in Tekken, to balance all the crazy super-powered ones (I'm mostly playing Feng and Christina right now). Not sure about VF characters though, I'm so familiar with them that I don't know how I would feel with their gameplay adapted to Tekken. I thought they were perfectly at home in DOA5 though (at this point a full VF+DOA merge would be great, better than the current lack of sequel)
 
For you bastard Ling players out there - does she get any lower than her baseline when she's in AoP? Like do any of the attacks out of AoP get her even lower than that? I'm trying to figure out what she can actually duck in this stance.

Not a bastard Ling player, but she can duck in AoP, which lowers her a lot further.

When testing against it, make sure to also try against AoP~d and against sidestep~AoP (which gives her a 'double sidestep' so to speak)

I'm in a tournament with a Nina player who has a drone that buzzes around the players. Definitely the most distracting and annoying customization I've seen so far.

I reaaaaaaaaaaaaally wish you could just turn all customizations off. They're almost always ugly and inferior to the original designs, and at worst are a significant annoyance.
 
I really hope they add more hair customization options. The generic ones are almost never worth going for, only the character specific options.

The generic ones were great in the previous games because you could add options to it like bangs, sideburns, super long twin tails etc. I'm sad they're gone.

I wouldn't call Akira niche, considering people actually know his name.

You don't need a Yakuza character, just dress up a Mishima in a suit and you're set.

What pisses me off is that it's been getting worse since T6, instead of building or revamping the system TTT2 had worst customization than 6 and T7 goes another step backwards in this regard.

Well, to be fair Decals were an improvement in TTT2, but now we don't have them... Lets cross our fingers we get them in the future at least.
 
This might be the first fighting game I've played where I have fun with literally every single character and could honestly see myself maining them.

I've said it a million times before but I am pissed at myself for not getting into this series sooner.

Being a long time series follower I have to say that character design and movesets are by far one of the main strengths of the Tekken team.
 
Ok, I just realized you can do infinite revenge matches in quick player matchmaking.

Shouldn't be too hard to add this in 1V1 lobby, isn't it ?
 
Why are customization-weapons allowed in ranked mode? o.o I lost a game due to a Lars shooting me and I admit I was too confused to even react :P

Point taken :P We both only had a fraction of life left and were pretty far apart so when that animation began I was like: "Huh... what? o.o" and when I realized what was happening I was already dead. To be honest I forgot they are even a thing :P
