TEKKEN 7 |OT| How I killed your mother

Just been playing against the computer so far. While I like using the Rage Arts as a player vs cpu since it does a ton of damage and goes through attacks like nothing and gets me wins, in pvp how do you counter someone doing a rage art attack? Up/Down dodge? Because it seems to absorb all attacks.

I was testing the hair. The hair selection here is terrible compared to TTT2 and T6 :(

Here he is with the default hair and with his boyfriend Shaheen fighting over who gets to be spanked tonight.
Damn, limited hair options in games are the worst =/.

Shaheen is my husband, tbh.

Lars gonna get hit with the door on his way out.

Probably (I hope Shaheen's playstyle fits me).

You bait the super and block it and then punish. If you're fighting Jin or Steve, you duck it and punish. If you're fighting Hwoarang, you can't do much, his is safe, mid-hitting, and fast.

Just realized that I preordered the Deluxe, preloaded it and outside a few gifs and videos, I barely know nothing of this game. XD

I mean it's Tekken, and I've played all of them anyway, so is not like I don't know anything of the series.

Outside that there's a guy that reminded me of Rashid from SFV and I will try to main him, or just go back to alternate between Jin and Miguel...in all their shirtless glory.

lol yea, it's pretty much like the unlockable character endings in previous games.
The old endings were generally pretty creative and fun. These endings are lazy as fuck, and they generally just have pairs of characters share their endings (e.g. Hwoarang and Devil Jin).

Two questions about the online guys.Lets say someone makes a room for 3 players. One is the host and then someone joins the room and the match starts. Then when a third person enters the room (while the fight still goes on),will he be able to watch the other two players playing or does he have to wait until the match is finished?
Also can the host kick out a player from the room when the fight ends?

Basically is it like how it was in Tekken 5 DRO?I hope i explained that right.

Damn this game looks damn good on PC. Running maxed out at 4434x2494. You can see a hint of the motion blur on Miguel's hand. Game looks fantastic in motion.

I think they probably ran out of time or budget, I wouldn't characterize their work as lazy. But it does suck that the story ended up this way.

Man I just watched the Combo Breakers finals and...wow I have a lot of work to do to get up to speed. Also that grand final match was insane. Those dudes are playing 4D Tekken.

I think you can only spectate if you were present when they started the match, if you join a lobby while a match is actively happening it'll tell you to wait until they're done. If you're there at the time they start and it can sync you though it will allow anyone else in the lobby to spectate (and chat while spectating).

..."overdesigned" how? That word is used incredibly too much and it doesn't apply here. You mean, you don't like her normal clothes? That would make more sense.

And she looks fine to me. To each his own.
Wasn't referring to Asuka with the overdesigned thing. Referring to this kind of shit. Previous designs were relatively clean and simple. Now they're mostly cluttered, like the designers had no sort of leash holding them back.
So yeah, it certainly does apply here, thanks.

Thanks.Kinda sucks if you have to wait staring at the UI...also can a host kick a player out of a room?

A lot of the customisation looks really tacky or is very limited with Yoshimitsu, but there's a few good ones.

Most of it is trash tbh, especially things not created for him.

Any sunglasses or hat and it changes the head to a lame one. He also holds all the custom weapons in the same hand as his main sword...looks broken.

At least it doesn't take much to unlock things!

I hope the '100s of costumes' coming with the season pass are better.

Hwoarang is the only one in the pics you've posted that's over-designed which pretty much everyone's agreed with since his design was first shown. Hell, Hwoarang actually isn't even over-designed compared to his usual outfits. It's just a bad looking outfit in general for him.

Naw, they all look fine to me. Term is definitely used wrong. Clothing that has stuff on it/depth/actual shape and details isn't "overdesigned".

"Thanks".

Looking real nice. What GPU?

Can I see your RTSS settings? It refuses to show up for me...been a while since I've used it.

-----I don't even have MSI afterburner installed, that's probably it

Bunch of characters are stuffed with needless extra jewellery, accessories and ornaments, which certainly makes them look far more overdesigned compared to previous games, and makes them more difficult to actually distinguish. Previous outfits were relatively grounded and informed the characters somewhat (e.g. Heihachi's torn up, dusty gi, Nina's spy outfit, etc). These ones look like they should be unlockables, not the defaults. Like Nina's wedding dress.

Thanks.

I wonder if they release legit character endings or fuller character episodes as dlc... lol.

As is, it certainly wasn't worthy of the "The best fights are personal" tagline. That's straight up false advertisement if you were itching to get in on the lore and character rivalries hahaha.

Yoshi has been turned into a jokey, racist stereotype thing. So sad.

What you are saying is that ornaments/jewelry/etc are overdesigned simply because they are there. Which is wrong. Just because they are elements used on a costume doesn't make them suddenly turn the outfits they are wearing into "overdesigned" outfits. They are simply outfits with jewelry on them.

This is what you are doing;

"This thing is so overdesigned! What's with those horns! Those tassels and crap!"

Here is a universally agreed upon bad design that most would agree is "overdesigned".

Multiple belts and accessories hanging off his body, too many colors, multiple pieces of clothing hanging off his body, oversized weapon with a chain hanging off the end that seems to do nothing and distracts from whatever the weapon is supposed to be. None of the Tekken fighters really exhibits this. They have a few pieces of decorative items or detailing on their clothes, and non-plain articles of clothing. There is not much going on. They have simply moved on from plain pieces of clothing that they have been doing for decades (Street Fighter is doing the same thing).

And more, they HAD the regular same old clothing in vanilla Tekken 7. People got tired of plain ol' gi that every mainline warrior wears in every fighter Heihachi and asked for something different for a change. And most like it.

What's the best way to get up with out getting reset?

quickroll, backroll or standing straight up = possible chance at getting reset.

Hitting square right when you hit the ground to get up immediately. Or was it triangle, I just spam both when i hit the floor haha

Venture out! Its a new (outside arcades...) game. Go for it while you can. I'll be going hard on Nina now that I can play without breaking the bank when loosing. But still have Asuka, Yoshimitsu, and Steve in the ol pocket.

Well, I do wanna try Lucky Chloe' since I have her figure. My main's are Asuka and Lili.

Holy shit. Story mode Nina on highest difficulty is a legit badass assassin. Flipping off walls, unblockable setups, chain grabs and dat outfit. She's kicking my ass every time she shows up and I love it.

Story mode is great. I'd absolutely take this over the shit endings in Tekken 6. Of course in a perfect world we'd have story mode and proper, good CG endings, but time and budgets are a thing.

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
What's the best way to get caught up on the Tekken lore?

Story mode I think covers the core history surrounding the Mishima's(the glue of the franchise).

Or enjoy the movies from all prior games in the Gallery mode in this game. I mean you really should if you are new, most are hilarious and entertaining. They were an amazing reward for playing arcade mode with every character.

Runs great on Ultra on a 1060.

I only ever played Tekken games casually. How do I play this game? TT2 is the only Tekken game I owned but it's dead on Wii U and Asuka was the only character I know how to play.

it took me 2 hours to get this combo.
