Bunch of characters are stuffed with needless extra jewellery, accessories and ornaments, which certainly makes them look far more overdesigned compared to previous games, and makes them more difficult to actually distinguish. Previous outfits were relatively grounded and informed the characters somewhat (e.g. Heihachi's torn up, dusty gi, Nina's spy outfit, etc). These ones look like they should be unlockables, not the defaults. Like Nina's wedding dress.
Thanks.
What you are saying is that ornaments/jewelry/etc are overdesigned simply because they are there. Which is wrong. Just because they are elements used on a costume doesn't make them suddenly turn the outfits they are wearing into "overdesigned" outfits. They are simply outfits with jewelry on them.
This is what you are doing;
"This thing is so overdesigned! What's with those horns! Those tassels and crap!"
Here is a universally agreed upon bad design that most would agree is "overdesigned".
Multiple belts and accessories hanging off his body, too many colors, multiple pieces of clothing hanging off his body, oversized weapon with a chain hanging off the end that seems to do nothing and distracts from whatever the weapon is supposed to be. None of the Tekken fighters really exhibits this. They have a few pieces of decorative items or detailing on their clothes, and non-plain articles of clothing. There is not much going on. They have simply moved on from plain pieces of clothing that they have been doing for decades (Street Fighter is doing the same thing).
And more, they HAD the regular same old clothing in vanilla Tekken 7. People got tired of plain ol' gi that every mainline warrior wears in every fighter Heihachi and asked for something different for a change. And most like it.
