Is there any way to map the direction arrow inputs or get the analog input to control menus?

My SNES USB adapter makes the d-pad pretend it's an analog stick with X Y axes. Unfortunately you can't control the game menus this way and have to use the keyboard, which is awkward.

lol, I can run this at Ultra settings on a 680. This port is amazing.

Netcode is...decent. 4/5 are perfect, but 3 bars is barely playable.

Having a lot of fun as noob to fighting games and Tekken. Stuck to learning Lee after liking his fight in story mode. After a bunch of online matches I feel like I really am getting better. Went into Ranked for my last 5 matches of the night and won 3 out of 5. I'm happy about that, didn't expect to win any based on how destroyed I got in SFV.

One thing I don't like is in online matches is it doesn't seem to say the fighting characters names when fighting? I'm new to this series really aside from playing the first one ages ago and would like to learn their names as I go, but I guess they just expect you to learn that offline before going online. Just a little weird to me.

Online is so much better than the broken shit we had to put up with in SFV launch. Like the whole launch month.

Every time I try to join a player match it says "You could not join this session" and every time I try to join a ranked match it says "The connection to the opponent had been lost" before anything even starts.

Thats the same problem I'm having. Everything works until character select,then I cant move the box. And if I select both characters (2 player) none of the menus work in game.

Have to get up eaely and yet nearly 2 hours went by me trying around things...and no story mode yet.

-CPU is hard, even on Easy.
-Shaheen (now know his name) plays as great as I wanted.
-Music is great, haven't used any from the Jukebox yet.
-Loadings are a bit faster than expected, but made me wonder if they used less flash and movies on it, if it would be faster.
-VR stuff is no biggie: Character viewer is the equivalent of watching the character customization really close to your TV. Fight mode is limited to one arena (?) and while it makes you feel like you're there, the viewing angles of the fight are more like either watching a game on a 3DTV or watching it over the shoulder like SSFIV on 3DS.

Can't wait to play more later today. XD

Can someone explain to me how to do damage to people in the air and how to get out of it? Every single match I'm in I always lose to people who keep hitting me in the air. Is there a recover button I'm just not knowing about? I've only played King so far and I didn't see anything like that in his move list.

Something that's throwing me off with this game coming from 2D fighters is the disconnect between the input buffer and actual visual/aural hit confirmation. Feels weird feeding in a 3 button sequence and having the 3 actual hits of the move slowly animate out over a few seconds.

Perhaps use joy2key to map the arcade stick to the keyboard? Or switch them to emulate a d-pad instead of analogue maybe?

those are juggles and no you can't get out of it. You can only try your best to avoid getting launched. You're getting launched because you're either using very unsafe moves which leaves you vulnerable to a juggle or not blocking non natural combos or falling for their mix ups that launches, or getting counter hit and getting launched.

I can't even bring myself to play the story or arcade yet... I just want to unlock more Yoshimitsu gear in the treasure mode. Though it gets tough after you rank up...going to have to spend more time in practice mode...or do a tournament or something, forgot what the other mode to unlock gear was.

Really want the big tekken 2 yoshimitsu hat they have but I'm guessing that's a bit of rng.

Oh yeah, for this, assuming nothing has changed, you either need to quick tech (one of the punches or something?) while falling or just wait for someone to strike you while on the ground and then push the quick tech button so you can quick getup safely.

(I mean, this is assuming your opponent doesn't have a move that really hurts you while you're lying down...)

Rolling backwards or whatever is a good way to get killed lol

yes, if you quick roll, pressing x or circle when you land, you will get up immediately and you can block mid, high and low attacks during that time, holding back during that period will block mid and high, holding back and down will block lows only. You have to predict what they will do if they right in your face.

It's sometiems best to just lie on the floor a little longer and let them finish their move and get up immediately after they whiff (miss their move when they think you're getting up immediately)
