I can't wait for the soundtrack to get a proper release, I think this might be the best Tekken soundtrack yet. They're really leaning into the aggro drum & bass/dubstep stuff TT2 dabbled in, which some old school Tekken fans might not like but I'm REALLLLLY into it. Really good over-the-top fight music.

Lucky Chloe is... surprisingly fun. She's like a good mix of Xiaoyu & Eddy, but feels completely unique. My only problem with her is that the Left Twist stance seems weak. There's a long delay after entering it and pretty much any move can beat every follow-up. It looks like you can bait out launchers with it if you hold back, so that's pretty useful.

I couldn't figure out a use for her twist stance at all, other than getting counter launched. Basically just use it for a low once in awhile.

I don't have much to say about that throw, but if you haven't looked into button buffering for King's throws you should, they make them so much easier. Unfortunately it won't work for that throw.

I was practicing f,f+2 into giant swing, which I'm assuming you mean by buffering.

That stretch combo seems so simple on paper I just dunno why it won't come out.

I don't play King so I don't know if your example works but just for clarity, buffering is when, say, if you want to input a standard throw command, you can jab with 1, hold it down, then press 3 to give you the 1+3 throw command.

It's pretty good, but the track that plays on the helipad stage is horrendous, I don't even know if that classifies as music.

Anyways, my friend and I have been trying to play the game together, successfully did 2 matches together but all the other times it said "host left" or something like that.

Is it only the Ps4 version having problems?

I bought the PC version and this is the first Tekken game I've ever played. Holy shit is the music amazing, along with the overall presentation. As a mostly-single player guy, I wish there was a bit more variety in single player modes. Maybe I'll eventually get the courage to take my beatings online and find some fun in that.

Not having been exposed to "vanilla" this doesn't really affect how much I like her. I don't pick a character based on how "good" they are.

Didn't think I would like Josie especially since she doesn't have Bruce b2, but shes so fun. Her d4 does no damage, but its so fast and safe people get super annoyed and hang themselves.

I'd rather have crazy character endings than a super boring nonsense story mode.

I'd prefer they do a classic arcade mode with more cutscenes in between fights and we can see how every characters story intersects but that'd probably take too much time and money.

With that said.....

Nah, the story mode is dope.

Super Devil Kazuya was some bullshit, but actually pretty easy once you understood the gimmick, it just took me a long time to figure out.

That whole last chapter was amazing though, with the flashbacks and everything, and the end of it. Fucking chills.

It was like the end of MGS4, a fitting end to an amazing character. In this world of devils and other bullshit, Heihachi was just a fucking dude.

The music, the multiple layers to the fight, that final hit was on some "Gohan kills Cell with the Kamehameha" level epicness. Man, honestly I'm being real. I don't think I've seen a major gaming death to a legacy character that's been that great in a very very long time. Just amazing.

I'm glad some people loved the enjoyable aspects of it as much as I did. lol

Tekken 8 has to be the game that goes into it. It's funny they sold this as the climax and in many ways it was but tekken 8 seems like the real conclusion to everything.
The pieces are so well set up, this will be a hard wait.

They're usually some 1+2 variation. If you go into the move list in training mode I'm pretty sure power crush moves have a special icon like screws do.

All Tekken fans start off casual players. When you do go online just have fun, and learning probably happens the most online. Keep it fun, (as in don't feel bad about loses, all Tekken players have their fair share lol ) and you'll learn better and faster just enjoying the game while learning from other players online.

Ahh okay thanks, haven't really been using that move much guess I need to incorporate it into my game. Kept getting hit by a Bryan using ff 2 because of the armor.

The tiger uppercut you beat by blocking. She's -24 or something obscene on block, so every character can punish with a move that launches.

The straight tiger call can be sidewalked if you're far away enough, and if not you can just block it as she's -30. While you can't really punish her for it (due to how far away she typically is), you do have the opportunity to close the gap and take imitative.

Between the dearth of actual AI ghosts(seemingly, as there are wayyyy too many repeats constantly) and a lack of modifiers, the mode is feeling really lazy now that it is the only thing I can play on ps4 pretty much w/o online.
