Err... that is definitely not how one should go about learning the game, or a fighter in general.
First get comfortable with basic movement, blocking, defense etc.
You definitely don't need to learn all the moves or do them over and over in training mode. Just pick 3-5 moves that you like and stick to them for a while.
Do very basic combos first, don't bother with anything complex. Actually you may want to forget about them altogether in the beginning. Just get comfortable pressing buttons with your character.
You can do basic moves without combos. It isn't explaining everything, but I have no idea how they learn or what they'll pick up. Command moves can save someone in a tight situation. Say f,f+2 with Bryan or something
Yeah do what this post says.. learn the basics, but combos are usually #5 or #6 on the thing to learn. They're gonna come into play regardless and you'll eventually get combo'd in any match.
Learn how to move is probably the most important aspect.
I would learn how to block, roll, tech roll, jump punch, etc
Pressing punch (1 or 2) while on the ground rolls their direction. 3 for low kick wakeup and 4 for high/mid kick wakeup when you're on the ground. Sure, yeah learn those things
You could learn about b,b+3+4 or f,f+1+2 when on the ground and how not all characters have it. It's to jump or roll when getting back up from a knockdown.
You could learn how pressing 4 while running does a slide that is good if your opponent can't guard low and goes for a mid or high attack from far away.
Blocking is automatically a mid and high block if you're pressing nothing and you're not moving. Learn how to side step and walk around the character and the difference between the two. How dashing works, how running works, what each punch or kick does with a direction on the controller. How to throw, etc.
