I'm so sad to see a series that's been there all my life possibly come to an end, but Namco seems to be treating it right. This is one of my most anticipated games of 2017.

This is only the end of the mishima story. Tekken isn't going anywhere.

I've seen enough to already know this won't be having the same content issues at launch like SFV did. Hopefully they nail the online aspect side of things as well. This is more than likely a day one for me.

Nah, I think Kaz is gonna die. Or Jin is going to take the hit and be replaced with Devil.
Or, Clad is just gonna nullify Kaz's powers before the fight and they'll "die" together. Maybe they'll all get cleared out of the Devil Gene and go back to being "normal".

IMHO it would help if the story modes in previous versions weren't awful. I didn't even click on Scenario Campaign in Tekken 6, not even once. I have all of the Achievements in that game except those involving the story mode. I don't even have the one for viewing the prologue!
The bits of story so far sound really interesting, but I hope their story mode will have the gameplay to back it up. Otherwise I'll just not click on the new one either. Day one buy either way, though. I can't wait to play the actual game.

Jin seems to be laying low after the events of Tekken 6, so he may not get in the way of Heihachi vs. Kazuya.
That said, if any of the two is gonna bite it, I'm guessing that it'll be Kazuya.

Nah I don't think it'll officially die. I see Kazuya will take over and will be the "Heihachi" from now on since Heihachi's dead. He'll be that old man fighting guys after a timeskip. Kazuya will probably name it something like "G Zaibatzu" or something but I can't see both Mishima's dying in this game. Only one will live and it'll probably be Kazuya IMO.
Nah I can't see anybody dying except Heihachi given he's not only the oldest and tied into this longer than anyone (Kazumi stuff and also Jin's T3 stuff) but his original VA died years ago. I think he's lived long enough to pass and finally be free from all of this. Kazuya will finally be over this (and the Devil Gene will finally be stopped somehow, idk why but he'll be normal for sure) and he'll be the new old man fighting guys after a timeskip.
And then in T8 post-timeskip we'll see Jin's son (or a relative of the Mishimas) be the main character and he'll have Heihachi's old fighting style so the cycle continues.
Either way I love how everyone's so invested in the story.

I think kazuya is finally going to get the full devil, because clad is going to nulifiy jins, for whatever that returns it to kazuya, he kills heihachi. And instead of going crazy, he literally just leaves. He dips, tekken 8 is a time skip. Kazuya is a secret boss, he is just called devil even in human form
IIRC unless the devil goes, and it doesn't kill kazuya in the process, because IIRC its been fusing with him for quite a while. You will. If he keeps it and it doesn't you wont, as much as people claim the reason kazumi isn't old is because they don't wanna have older women on the roster ( although thats probably also true) the other reason is IIRC the devil gene stops you from aging after a point. Seriously iff you look up kazuya's tekken 6 ending he looks as young as jin. In some shots.
I have a gut feeling that Kazuya may not live that long.

I've been on the fence about getting T7, but the strong story mode has probably sold me. If Lei is in the game, and only if.

Wow, this game will finally end the Mishima bloodline story? Damn. I've been with this series since Tekken 3. Tekken 4 is still my favorite Tekken game cause of how amazing it looked at the time and the levels were all in real locations, unlike a field full of daisies.

More like Beerus watching Goku & Vegeta fight. Heihachi & Kazuya are definitely capable fighters. But as you said, Jin can own both for free. Jin's probably gonna sit back & enjoy the fireworks.

Its not even about him growing old.
Tekken ain't the most.... narratively sophisticated game seires out there, but even still... kazuya dying does nothing for no one. Jin or Heihachi, particularly the latter does more for way more people on the roster. Out side of Lee or Paul even kazuya's death doesn't really do anything for his own son.
Tekken 6 makes fun of this, but except jinpachi, kazuya all in all is the least offending offender out of all mishima's. Lee's beef with kazuya doesn't even make sense by fighting game standards. And i doubt paul even cares anymore.
Heihachi dying is like some ending where it starts kinda shit, like its a narrative complete circle, it would actually be like an interesting thing. Kazuya dying makes no sense and does nothing for no one.
