Do my eyes deceive me? He has different block animations for mids and highs? Did my boy Steve get reanimated? OoMy God seriosuly, this character's is just impeccably animated.
as Tekken is rapidly distancing itself from actual martial arts and more into fantasy.
Just another thing I have to come to terms with as Tekken is rapidly distancing itself from actual martial arts and more into fantasy.
Man, who gives a shitYeah, next they'll have you fighting the Terminator, a space ninja or Satan. Or maybe even some frakking bears or dinosaurs.
. . . Oh wait.
All this Nina and Akuma
Meanwhile, I want to see if my boy Yoshimitsu got any new stuff.
This was probably the biggest flaw in VF's presentation that always made me appreciate Tekken in motion more than VF.
So does Akuma have something more like Tekken strings or more like SF normals? Anyone know?
I know his specials are the traditional SF inputs..

His SF4 strings were changed into Tekken strings. Like double roundhouse that was just HK is now 4,3. He has 2,1 similar to Jinpachi, but he had that also in USF4. He has ws+4,4 that is his close HK in Street Fighter. Other then that I think his gameplay focuses on canceling singular moves.
I see. So is it mostly 1 or 2 hit strings then? Or also some longer stuff?
There was a 3 hit string in one of the trailers but it didn't look familar.
You did a very nice job, Manny. It does get discouraging at times to hear the complaints, but you just push forward. Look forward to next week as Fingers To Fight does it's part to keep the Tekken ship afloat in America. 20+ entries for a weekly ain't bad at all for a "dead" game, not bad at all.Today I learned:
- Commentary is kind of exhausting. I can see why certain commentators end up sounding like they have zero energy near the end of a tournament even though all they are doing is sitting there and talking.
- Ninth Pixel asked for no cursing, but I totally forgot that I had Mobb Deep's Shook Ones pt. 2 as my Tekken Tunes for the Snoop Dog stage. I should probably change that...
- Even though people know they are coming into an online tournament with the high possibility of lag, and have a rule in place in regards to dealing with laggy matches, they will still complain and rage quit when they run into a laggy match.
Good find on those new moves Grayfox.
Hopefully tomorrow when I wake up we will have direct feed footage from the upcoming stream. Morning coffee with T7 FR in hd on a big screen - why not?
Agreed! One change I'm grateful for is the that they got rid of that generic red wave ripple that permeates accross the screen when someone gets rage and is now just a burst of red aura. Does wonders to improve the presentation.before the TTT2 recycled customs + troll accessories ruin it again
damn
Besides the plastic look
lolAgreed!
Doesn't look plastic to me. Looks wet - due to rain.
lol
Her hair could cut diamonds
The more I watch of Akuma, the more awkward and out of place he looks.
The hair should be wet too......but they're not.
Can he even teleport? At least give him something to fix his slow ass movement
He does have teleport.
Are these Tekken players, solely Tekken players? Because the fact that they can't deal with Fireballs makes the fact that they can't deal with lasers make so much sense.

Wavedash and also korean backdash ontop of his back jump fireball and forward jump demon flip
No problems
Will be new main regardless of 10 move movelist
