Tekken Tag 2 continues to have issues on PSN, Tekken Revolution is full of cheaters, and T5DR/T6 have dated netcode. If the plan was to kill the franchise and attempt to resurrect it with Tekken 7, then they are very much succeeding in the former.
Street Fighter 5 gets a 1.5 out of 5 on some review websites, and is Mixed on Steam. No wonder Harada said, "It is Capcom's turn". Tekken 7 is already a much more solid game and would have taken out Street Fighter 5 against expectations. My hopeful heart wants to say that Tekken 7 will be surprise released on consoles shortly after EVO similar to Revolution. If not that, then I get a little sick to think about a 2017 release, even if it is the best game ever it may fall flat.
Fighting games also take a hit from the recent happenings. For which I think Main Event goes over very well. We really need to clean this community up.

My CFN is NinthPixel. Although, I haven't played SF5 much because for whatever reason XSplit can't stream the game (without window capture, and windowed SF5 has reported problems). Was looking forward to stream it as I am among the few long time fighting fans who can say I don't have roots in Street Fighter. Should have bought the game on PS4, but it is just so pretty on PC.
Here's hoping that things get better. Thankful at least that
Fingers To Fight keeps the dream alive in Tekken. I am glad I started it when I did to be a little bit established at this point to help Tekken fans during this Depression. I may pick up Street Fighter 5 for online tournaments when the lobbies increase, but I imagine they will happen and be far bigger than what I can muster. Anyway, take care.
