I was so hyped when I saw that trailer. It still looks awesome and probably better than what Tekken 7 will look in-game.
Also, Jin is too cool for me to hate the trailer.

I'm not really sure where the disappointment is coming from, but pretty much everything announced at EVO has been a disappointment to people over the years, so whatever.

I seriously doubt its the last Tekken. Probably rebooting the series afterwards.

Whatever.....bad reveal but eh.. IT'S TEKKEN 7 MAN. I'm happy that my favorite franchise is going on strong and getting a sequel. Ask fans of Shenume, TimeSplitters, etc. how they feel. If there hadn't been a prior leak, there would have been a lot of hype despite the fatal frame CG trailer.
I hope "final" doesn't mean final game in the series. Expecting an end to the Mishima drama and a new beginning with Tekken 8.

Unfortunately with SDCC being a very casual event I doubt they'll show anything worthwhile that I can analyze. Probably just gonna reveal Kazumi's bust size & other unimportant stuff for the casuals to swallow. I'm guessing we'll see some legitimate gameplay at TGS in September. But I hate being optimistic because if I'm wrong I'm going to be super sad

Also, I can totally see someone wanting to drop a game like Guilty Gear just for one missing character. I'd certainly be much less interested if it didn't have Faust.

I want to play Guilty Gear other then ONE but they don't give a shit for EU to the point they didn't release the psn version on this continent. Lame. Xrd is a must have tough.
Regarding Tekken 7. Even if annoucment wasn't special I'm still extremely happy it's happening.
Also made TxSF officially a joke and a game that doesn't exist but if they're developing T7 instead then it's worth it. So long Tekken Ken. You had a good life in my imagination!
Also regarding T7 story it's like they're reading my mind. You guys know I've been longing for something like Tekken Zero that would show and explained Kazumi and everything. Seems they're digging into that. Cool.

I think it'll take place in the past for Kazuki's story and in the present for the inevitable Kaz vs Hei showdown.
This might be pretty cool story wise. The last time I cared about Tekken's story was Tekken 4. Tekken 5 was okay and Tekken 6 was garbage in that regard.

Tekken 7 release will probably be pretty cool for me. Many of my friends don't have a PS3, but want to buy a PS4. A few of them were pretty good at Street Fighter, so they're not new to the fighting game genre and want to dedicate some time into learning the Tekken mechanics.
Would be so cool if I could get some cool Offline matches with friends!

I guess that depends how far along the game is. The long trailer we'll be seeing at Comic Con hopefully will give us some gameplay but if it's just an extension of the teaser, mehhhh.
Sadly, I don't think we're going to see this game till 2016. 2015 though would be freaking awesome, even if it were the arcade, it would give some hope of a quick console release a year later.

Pretty consistent 3-4 years between games, with the exception being the 2 year gap after the last Tag game.
Historically, 2014 would make sense for T7. I'm doubtful due to the amount of work Tekken team is taking on at the moment, but I really hope so.

Gen1us and Chetchetty are the only two good Paul mains I can think of off the top of my head. I'd imagine a lot of good players have pocket Pauls, though.
The majority of Project Soul has probably been reabsorbed into the Tekken team like they were after SC4. I guess a few of them are still hanging around churning out dolly dressup updates and dumbing down the movelists for Lost Swords.

Honestly, the release date concerns me. Pragmatically speaking, I say the home version should come out out around Fall 2015 and the arcade could come out early next year. Then again, the arcade release is basically what concerns me. I think the better it does in the arcades, the longer it will take to materialize on home consoles. Did I mention that I have no good arcades near me?
Will the game be as good as Tekken Tag 2? Well, I doubt it unfortunately, but I think it will be close to it and Namco has amazing talent, so we might be pleasantly surprised by their next offering. TTT2 is essentially a Tekken fanatics dream as far as content and gameplay goes.
I think bounds will return, less characters(40??), 1 on 1 again, slightly revised combo system, flashier moves/effects/etc, reworked animations and maybe they will make movement easier.
