Nice win by Novak. I didn't even expect him to make the final, let alone win it. Now he only needs to beat Nadal at Madrid and the FO and he will have beat him at all the big clay tournaments.

Is this the beginning of the end for Nadal?
He was not going to win anything big anyway. Might as well rest.
where are you now srazo ;=)
Right next to you with your fake drama:where are you now srazo ;=)
why is novak doing this to himself? if he is injured he can't win this, he can only make it worse and maybe get a serious problem with ankles in the future. I don't get it really.

Unless he is faking it.

It seems they photoshopped out her hefty moustache in those photos.First Porsche's Global Ambassador. Get dat money Maria (Tifanny, Head, Cole Haan, Evian, Nike, Tag Heuer, Samsung - based on her website - and now Porsche, I mean, wow - she could stop playing with all this money, I think it shows that playing tennis its what she really loves to do). She looks amazing btw, especially in the second photo (if you know what I mean ) Also, if she doesnt win Stuttgart now... lol
Whatever. You make endless tirades whenever Djokovic scratches his nails.dick don't do that. Quote entire comment.
My comment was based on first or second round, when he clearly suffered, but I added [Unless he is faking it]. Novak was using Rafa tactics "injury BS" to remove pressure of himself.
Was traveling during the match (haven't even seen it yet), but...
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Order has been restored! Can't believe that Novak almost bageled him (but I guess that isn't that huge since Nadal has been bageld a couple of times on clay....one of them being by Fed).
Also, Novak became the first man to hold at least 8 of the 9 Masters. He only has Cincinnati left. By comparison, Fed needs Monte Carlo & Rome and Nadal needs Miami, Cincy and Paris.
FO announced that they won't reseed nadal, which means a Djoko/Nadal QF is possible. as a federer fan i wouldn't mind that much but as a tennis fan it would be a shame. One side of the bracket could be extremely loaded with Federer/Djokovic/Nadal in it.
best case scenario: Murray/Nadal QF.
Is Madrid still on that blue stuff? I loved watching those matches last year
Ugh seriously? Damnnn, was hoping that moustached guy would stick to his guts, too bad :/Unfortunately, no too many people bitched about it

Well, when two of the top 4 players threatened to boycott if it didn't revert back, dude had little choice. I liked it, personally.
Federer will forever remain the king of blue clay!!! lol
It didn't play like a normal clay court not because of the color of the clay, which didn't matter at all. The great difference between Madrid and Paris is that in Paris there's 150cm of various materials between the concrete base and the surface, whereas in Madrid it's 30cm.I did not. It didn't look like clay, and it definitelly didn't play like clay. For some 250 events I would support it. but for a big clay masters event, a few weeks before RG, hell no.
So gorgeous, it's like he's playing on water *.*

It'll be interesting to see if they finally did something about it.
Exactly! Dude acted like the only pro thereWhat is funny is that Federer didn't really like the blue clay because it was so slippery, but he didn't go around acting like a diva and threaten to boycott the tournament like Nadal and Djokovic did. He ended up winning the tournament. Federer said in an interview that when he played in the late 90s and early 00s, players had to change surfaces all the time (fast indoors, slow clay, fast grass ,etc..). But now most surfaces are the same and very slow, so when a change is introduced, everyone freaks out.

Yep, I think it is very unfortunate that most people associate the slipperiness with the color. The problem with Madrid last year mainly resulted form the layering of the clay, not the color. I would love to see another tournament try blue clay next year. It is very easy on the eyes.
American tennis sucks so bad right now, all of our best players are playing in a challenger this week. Mardy Fish lost first round. lol
