BBC reporter Holly Jones, who was on the bridge at the time of the incident, said the van was driven by a man and was "probably travelling at about 50 miles an hour".

About five people were being treated for injuries after the vehicle mounted the pavement and hit them, she said.

She said the van, which was travelling from the direction of central London, headed towards the south side of the river.

Ms Jones later reported seeing a man being arrested by police. She said he was handcuffed and had his shirt off.

I wonder if this is coincidental or if terrorists are specifically targeting now because of elections. I'm sure they have a lot to gain from a further isolated Britain.

Those who carry out shit like this are less than animals.

this has to be to influence the coming election, like they did in france. what do they gain by pushing the rigth or extreme-right political parties? i don't get it.

BBC reporter who was "on the bridge at the time of the incident" mentions the van was being driven by one man, no report of second or third man or stabbings.

Any actual confirmation of these three men with knives?

Damn. This is chilling...London Bridge isn't that far away from me. We can't keep having the same response to this shit.

Not sure ISIS really care about the election really, just a thing going on in the background

I don't know.

People tend to buy in to right wing mantra following terrorist attacks. Right wing governments in Western countries are definitely a bad thing. It's logical why they would want that.

But... you're probably right and these attacks are largely completely fucking mindless.

Weekend before an election, too.

This horrific shit isn't acceptable anytime or anywhere but man, it stings even more when it brings an air of trying to influence our democratic process.

Hoping for minimal casualties.

As always, wait for the police to release their report.

Is LBC a trusted source? All I know about them is that they host Farage's show which is not a positive argument in that direction.

I think that reporter said the van carried on and she didn't see where it ended up.

3 attacks in 3 months now - they were right to raise the threat level.

Hopefully everyone affected pulls through somehow.

Nothing on either Sky or BBC yet. I'm sure the US intelligence services will let us know soon enough.

Uh this is not a terrorist attack. Probably some drunk asshole.

Edit: oh wait, they were attacking random people with knives? nevermind

...lacks reading comprehension.
It's time to arrest all people who are under surveillance or known as ISIS sympathisers.

Let's wait until we know they were known beforehand before jumping the gun. But I agree, known islamists have been attackers way too often, just lock them all up for life and throw away the key.

LBC is quite capable of reporting nonsense in the heat for the moment. However, they probably wouldn't knowingly tun a lie.

Who wants to bet that the suspects were "known about by law enforcement"? Can they just arrest everyone who is already "known about by law enforcement"?

I guess more innocent people have to die first

it was only raised for a few days after Manchester while the police were carrying out raids. It's been at the current level for years

Nobody is reporting anything on a stabbing, lets wiat ubtil we hear it from official sources. Better than trusting just one random source
