So...you know when you are in that groove where you try to get the perfect run on a track/event and you keep trying and trying and finally, all the planets align, the wind is perfect, pigs fly and shit like that and you nail the best time and you sit back and say to yourself, "fuck yeah"....well that was the feeling I had tonight playing some of the Community Events.
I tried and tried and I finally got the #1 time and by a decent margin, figured my time would be good enough being that this particular event had over 250 entries and I am #1. So feeling pretty good about this being that I tried several, several times to be so close and I finally did it.
Now imagine that feeling of accomplishment and then on that final run that you finally beat everyone else that has come before you and the fucking servers go down and it did not record your run! I swear to everything that is holy that this game has more server downtime than any game i played before.
I would not be as pissed if it did it on the runs where I did not do well, but fuck, I tried this event 10 times, costing about 100 or so credits to attempt it each time and finally it pays off and on that 10th time the servers go down.
I would say over the last 8-10 months or so, it is begining to feel like we should not buy new games that have on-line components and even offline games anymore. There have been so many issues as of late with alot of games that waiting a month or two might be worth it so they can sort shit out. I miss the days where games were released that were properly tested...Fallout Vegas anyone? Fable 3? Test Drive Unlimited?
