Interesting how as time went on more and more people want the old God of War back. Remember so many people on this website had Boomer Kratos avatars.

I think the 20 year tribute was lame, but people's reactions are as usual out of whack and over the top.

God of War Ragnarok was released literally JUST a little over 2 years ago, no other companies are held to an unattainable standard as Sony studios.

We already know they're working on a non-God of War IP and it's probably something that has been in early development since 2018 or 2019.

Cool. Now how about you make the games featured in the first half of the video playable on Ps5 in a way that doesn't involve streaming them from a Ps3?

Eh I didnt even bother play Ragnarok DLC

I really liked it.
I'm not the biggest fan of the roguelite approach but I enjoyed how it actually lets you play mostly uninterrupted instead of constantly having you watch cutscenes and going through lengthy walking and talking sequences,

Kratos was a savage warlord and got turned into a hollywood soy male actor. Whats there to celebrate.
Kratos was a severe victim of flanderization, a 'healing/learning journey' was conjured up for Kratos to go through that he never needed in the first place. The reboots aren't the worst games in the world but they are inferior to the Original Six of the greek saga...

True but he seems matured now. Kid is the priority. The little fucker 😂

Heh 😁

Anyway, personally, my problem with the reboot games narratively, isn't that Kratos is "soy" or whatever, it's that they're not well written games - EVERYTHING feels so fucking Americanized /Marvel-ized catering to the lowest common denominator (forced diversity/Atreus talks like an American teenager, one of the dwarves talks like an American redneck trucker/the whole family dramas both in 1 and especially 2 feel lifted straight off an American drama and so on so forth).

Add to that some pretty mediocre gameplay with the FOV stuck up Kratos' ass and...yeah.

Both feel like games made by a committee and after Ragnarok, I've lost all interest in a third game.

Absofuckinglutely. I didn't even enjoy the sequel. We're talking about Norse mythology here! Gods for fuck sake. I have no issue with the calm Kratos, he definitely didn't give soy vibes. My main issue was the little bratty cunt. Okay, some would say it's normal for his age but it isn't. He's a god after all not an American teenager

Not even looking forward to the third game cause they will continue with this bollocks till they see it off.

The fact is that at the first sign of disrespect realistically Kratos would've smacked his scrawny ass. Also they way Freya and the girl made him their bitch by constantly talking down to him gave me second hand cringe. A mature grown man is able to defend his position and doesn't take shit beyond a certain point. He was more 'manly' in the Greek Saga than here, and his love for his family (Wife/Daughter/Brother/Mother) was more intense as well.
