Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city continues to rack up the accolades. After entering the charts at No. 2 almost 10 months ago to the day, the Black Hippy’s universally-acclaimed major label debut has now been certified platinum. The album sold 9k copies this week — a 22% increase on last week, which we can probably credit to the mania surrounding his “Control” verse — which pushed it past the 1 million mark. Congratulations to Kendrick and the whole TDE family!
