I'd like to apologize for this, but uh... I'm not going to. So how's that? I don't apologize. Fuck you, Cyan.

The game of thrones no spoiler thread and book all spoiler thread.

You know you want to.

Do it! Please! It will be recorded in the annals of history as the greatest nerd-rage explosion in the history of any fandom.
The screams of horror will be loud enough to reach George RR Martin

I can't really figure out what has been going on for the last half of the thread or so, but duckroll going all-out on the first and second page has made this one of my favorite threads on GAF now. Media blackout have always seemed ridiculous and the whining over accidentally knowing ANY piece of information about something had always annoyed the shit out of me, ever since seeing people get upset after a thread title included a character who was going to be in Arkham City was made upon the character being shown off and profiled in the media.

I damn-near started applauding when I read this:
Hey, if you want to go on a media blackout, be our guest. Don't shit up threads here with your spoiler nonsense. You can include NeoGAF as part of your media blackouts from now on if you like. It's really getting fucking annoying.

Now I am starting to get an amazing idea though.
What if we could start a commune or village somewhere, where all the 'media blackout' folks could pay to join and live. This town would have no internet, no TV, and no print media. When a new game comes out, we deliver it to them in a blank case with the logo and name removed from the disc. That way they can put it in and not know anything about it until it hits the start menu! Nothing is spoiled for them, not even that it is a Batman game with Batman in it. When a new movie comes out, we remove all trailers for other movies and if nothing really happens before the title card comes up, we cut that too (don't want people saying "The name of this movie is Guardians of the Galaxy? We'll fuck me if that doesn't just ruin everything!").
Seems like a real opportunity there, give people the chance to experience media as is they were babies emerging from the womb.
