I never said I played in the SWAC. I mentioned the SWAC because you said you could only play for Lamar to whcih I replied "what about the SWAC?" Since we are both on the same page that the SWAC is shitty.

okay yes the SWAC is definitely shittier than the southland conference. BTW are you pissed like I am about there being almost twice as many D1 womens programs as mens programs because of Billy Jean Kings Title IX? Sam Houston, UH, North Texas, Texas State, SFA....all have womens programs, but no mens programs. I'm sure they would also have mens programs but equal funding in womens and mens sports takes out mens tennis programs

Yeah but not at all.

Comparing Murray against Federer is problematic as you have to take into account how many times they played against each other and how they have done in slams.

Serena has the one on one advantage and has won more slams.

Why do you only count the slams? Henin has more than twice as many career titles. Williams has one fucking match lead one on one, which can change tonight. You're reaching.

I count the slams in this case because Serena herself has admitted she only cares about them and gives her all in them and whether that is honorable or not, it works for her and those wins are much more impressive than winning tournaments that not all the contestants get up for.

Yeah it is disappointing especially since my brother goes to UNT. This has caused alot of junior and D3 schools to be really good like UT Tyler and Tyler Junior College which has been one of the top Jucos in the country. Foreign players also enter the Juco system before attending university, which makes the top Jucos have good competition.

Heh. Henin's beaten every top player, so I don't know what that last comment is about. Maybe Serena sits out non-grand slam tournaments, but there's plenty of top competition besides the grand slams. Henin retired as #1, and will probably get that ranking back shortly after her return.

And Serena hasn't????

Personally, I think you should try in all the tournaments but that's not Serena's focus.

If you go by your logic, Safina is better than Serena and we all know this is going down a road without brakes.

I'm going just by WTA titles here from Wikipedia, but Henin has 41 and Serena has 35. Am I missing something here?

yeah Trinity is really good too. my friend played #2 for Trinity and he scrimmaged against a guy who playes #5 or 6 for Michigan. My friend beat him 6-2, 6-2. Shows you how strong some of these D3 programs are

My rankings of women for the 00's :

1) Serena Williams (Most titles, Serena Slam, WILL beat ANYONE on her BEST day).

2) Venus Williams (Queen of Wimbledon)

3) Justine Henin (Dirtballer who won most of her titles at the FO, yet to win Wimbledon)

:D

If Henin wins tonight, she starts off the new decade with a bang but all time is still under Serena.

You leave out Martina Hingis, Kim Clijsters and Amelie Mauresmo?

A dirtballer?: are you speaking of the hand incident

I said 00's, Hingis did her damage in the 90's. She definitely not in the same era as the mentioned players.

And while I have nothing against Clijsters or Mauresmo, they are not above Serena, Venus, or Justine in the 00's.

wat is going on in that video? and why is it so goddamn loud?

Henin raised her hand while Serena was in the middle of her serve, calling a time-out.

Serena was already half way through her motion when Henin gestured, and just threw a soft one into the net, knowing (or, thinking) that it wouldn't count.

Serena (rightfully) told the judge that Henin called the serve off and that she should get her first serve back. The judge said he didn't see it (Why would he, he was obviously focused on Serena) and ASKED HENIN if she did indeed, call the serve off. Even though Henin CLEARLY raised her hand, and was shown on camera to have done so, she sat there and lied, and said that she did no such thing. Serena was then forced into a second serve at a crucial point in the match.

I'm not one to cry over this incident, it was years ago and both players have shown that they are not the most...holy of competitors. But this was truly a shitty thing to do, and Henin has been given somewhat of a pass for it.

Wow Henin is trying to do it big on Serena's 2nd serve. I like it. She just needs to give it a good slice instead of the topspin backhand.

This seems to be a good tactic because it puts pressure on the opponents first serve and if the returns connect, it can intimidate the opponent and lower service percentage.

Very long service games for Serena. Might catch up with her in the second or third set. Gf does not agree and says Serena will just push through. We will see!

Still very early, we shall see how things go. It can all change in one game!

Edit : Like I said, everything can change in one game! Lets get this break baby!
