I kind of don't like how ESPN has become all about the "statements" made either with certain aspects of a player's game or that match they just played. He/she just made a statement with blah blah blah.

I'm sure every tennis player at home is saying "OMG that serve, what a statement!!". Ugh.

Doubles and singles champion! I missed the first set but it looks like Serena was finally getting some calls to go her way. She's been on the bad end of some really ridiculous calls over the years. Hope her bad luck is over in that regard.

First 3 set final in how long? Womens tennis needs to step up. Happy to see Serena victorious again though.

A graphic during the match said it was the first grand slam women's final to go 3 sets since Wimbledon 2006

I rooted for Henin all the way through. Darn it. :/

I'm more and more convinced that Serena isn't human, by the way. Or a woman, for that matter. I mean - damn, her arms are that of a muscular man! And she looks scary, too, like she could rip your head off in an instant.

So you admit you're a bottom?

I say Federer in 5.

I don't think it will go 3.

I hope he gets his ass kicked, a completely unlikeable champion for me.

Though he has the goods, never will deny that, the best shotmaker and effortless player I've ever watched and I've been watching the sport for ages.

Pretty pump up! going to sleep a little before the match start.
I'll need to do the same! Getting up at 5am with a possibly-4-hour match at 6.40pm isn't the best of notions.

Again, I'm going with Murray in 5.

Here's to hoping Murray won't get nervous due to the occasion and we'll get a competitive match. I'm thinking that no matter what, Federer will win but hopefully Murray makes it difficult for him.

I want Roger to win, but it's Murray's time. Murray in 4 unless Roger is feeling it. If Roger is on he will take it in 3 or 4, but he will have to play his best stuff for that to happen. Murray takes it assuming Roger isn't zoning.

lol women's tennis

And I predict Fed in 4, but I'm really hoping Murray pushes him to the limit (and beats him).

Edit: 150,000 years :lol :lol

Federer is pure class - I mean, he really is the perfect athlete. Nice, mild-mannered, respectful towards his opponents ( both on and off the court ), and so talented it boggles the mind. I already consider him to be in the league of sports-legends, up there with the likes of Wayne Gretzky, Michael Jordan and Bjorn Borg.

Hype!

If Roger loses will he cry again? :lol

Doubt it. It doesn't mean anything anymore, he's already got all the records. I think he only cried last time cause he lost two major in a row and he was prob scared that he would not win one again.

Roger won't cry again. He's so much more content that he's beaten Sampras' record and won the French. He's done it all and anything from here is a bonus.

I hope he wins a few more though but if Murray wins I won't be disappointed. That little segment they showed on the Dunblane shootings were Murray was from was pretty irrelevant but at the same time so sad.

CMON FED!!! I hope it goes 5 sets
