Federer of the last few years though has not been consistent over his 5 set matches, see 2009 Aussie open against Nadal and the 2009 US Open final against Del Potro. We'll see what happens here.

See 5th set against Nadal and Del Potro in major last year. Right now he looks like vintage Fed, but his consistency was spotty many times last year in big matches. I haven't seen Fed play as well as he has tonight since 2005/2006/2007.

His service percentage is the same as last year when everyone thought he improved it. Yeah he can get it to 200k's and hit two spots which works against lesser players, but without a high percentage it has no effect on god returners. I think we might be arguing semantics, but we both seem to agree that service percentage is key.
