Spotlight average review 8.9 >>> Mad Max 8.6
Elba's accent was kinda wack. Attah outperformed him, and he deserved some recognition. This just came to me, but how did Idris Elba NOT get nominated for his role in Beasts of no nation? Or for that matter, Michael B. Jordan for Creed? The conspiracy theorist in me says they snubbed The Wire back in the day, and the snubbing will continue forever more by proxy through the actors of that show.
Is The Room basically a sci-fi psychological drama? Didn't know anything about it until tonight.
Over under on how many Victoria Secret models Leo wakes up to? I mean compared to normal that is
Nope. Spotlight has earned a spot in "Best investigative journalism / exposed scandal" movie recommendations for decades to come. It's a good movie that does what it does with a lot of restraint.
Spotlight took the SAG award, and it is the largest voting body of the Academy. It was nice to have a three way race this year either way.
Spotlight is some of the blandest, dullest shit that has ever won Best Picture Oscar.
Spotlight is the highest actually. Nice try though.

How can Mad Max win literally every technical award but not best picture?
So you're suggesting pure merit tends to be the main factor in a best picture win? Hmm...Because it literally was not the best picture nominated.
So your movie didn't win so now Spotlight = Crash? This is nuts.
A shout out to Morgan Freeman, who tore open those Girl Scout cookies, took one, and left the stage immediately.

My stream died right before they announced best actor

Nothing like that at all.

Sad fury road didn't win for film and Miller or director. But overall the film brought home 5 awards and was very well deserving of it. felt this was a lot better awards show than the Grammys. Still no matter what fury road was my favorite film or the year and maybe one of my favorites of all time. It will ride to the gates of Valhalla, shines and chrome.
Guess I read a bad/oddly slanted description then, ha.
I myself loved Steve Jobs. Fassbender was incredibleI can't decide if I want to rewatch Mad Max: Fury Road, or watch Steve Jobs for the first time
Which is why I said it was second in the running
PGA is usually a better predictor than SAG for best pic winners. I think this is the first time in like 10 years where the PGA winner did not also win at the Oscars
Sunhi pls
There's definitely a lot of psychological elements to it, but there's nothing science-y about it at all, fiction or otherwise.
its about a very nice guy who likes doggies and buying flowers
I think the only upset was Best Supporting Actor.
Damn Brooklyn
;_;
