That Rangers/As game yesterday was one of the most exciting finishes to a baseball game I have ever seen.

I seriously believe that the Rangers could wreck some havoc if they made it to the playoffs. There is nothing more dangerous than a young team, on a hot streak, with a lot of confidence.

Why isn't a a big story that these "horrible" Rangers booted A-Rod and are on pace to win over 90 games? Come on ESPN milks everything, why aren't they milking this?

Crap, Perez is pitching for the Dodgers tonight.... Well, maybe Green will get a bunch of homeruns/RBIs tonight to make up for having to sit out tomorrow for Yom Kippur and thus offset Perez's pitching and then Lima could lock down the Giants tomorrow so that Green's absence won't matter. :p Meh, one can dream...

Then again, Green hasn't been a huge offense powerhouse like Beltre, but I think the Dodger lineup would be more potent with Green than without.

Anyway, please, please, let there be no sweep of the Dodgers by the Giants!!!!

It depends which Perez shows up tonight. If the consistant Perez of last year and earlier this year shows up, all we have to worry about is the Dodgers offense :/

At least you get the Cubs game. I'm relegated to watching the Yankees/Sox on TV while having to watch the MLB gamecast on my computer for the Cubs game. Ugh it drives me crazy especially in a 1-1 game.

BTW Brewers in their typical 0-0 game right now in the 5th agains Clemens and the Asstros. At least I can watch the Brewers score no runs tonight.

Where is your Chicago pride dude! I'd root for the White Sox if they were in the playoff hunt!

my pride vanished when the twins clinched in chicago. and actually, i really would hate this years cubs team if it was any other team. i really would. not so much so last year, that was a cubs thing. this year, the team didn't help itself at all.

LEE I LUV J00!

Oh shit wtf happened? Lee gets caught stealing third and then Aram hits a single! Damn it! That's another run they just lost!

We needed that one. Any more are gravy. We proved that we were able to beat Pedro twice, and Curt can't pitch 4 games.

I think I'll skip the next two as Rivera had my heart thumping away. I'd like to keep my blood pressure nice and low.

Cubs win was a magnificent thing tonight. Seeing Rusch do what Clement could never do at this point in the season, and still grabbing the win, is real satisfying. Now we have Dodgers/Giants to watch and Im not even sure which one should lose. I wanted the Giants in the playoffs personally but being that its a 3 team race mostly, you want one to get knocked far out of the race with a sweep. Either way though, Cubs win baby! I'll be going to Tuesday's game this coming Tuesday also. Can't wait for that. Heat's seriously on in this stretch run

astros win.

yeah, seen that. I will tell you this, Astros are a hell of a team and have really adapted a winning attitude. A 0-0 game I knew the Astros would take it in the end. They want it too much. Might be too little too late though, I dunno.

probably.. if we didn't have such a disastrous June and July, we'd be leading hte divsion or atleast in a tight race with the Cards. I've never seen an entire team go into a slump for as long as they did during those two months.

robably.. if we didn't have such a disastrous June and Jul

That is why they are called the Disastros. :p

Anyway, just feel lucky the Cubs decided to slump 5 out of the 6 months of the regular season, thus keeping the wild card race tight. Otherwise we would have 140+ wins.

hehe, probably true but I wanna see some drama. Too bad Bonds any way you look at it will be a nonfactor. I think even if 1 guy gets on they'll walk him into scoring position before facing Bonds. But we'll see. Likely over with Bonds not even having the chance to do anything.
