Just reported on ESPN1000. He needs additional time for his knee to heal, apparently.

Kenny's gonna have to make another move.

Shit. Shoulda traded him for Jones when we had the chance. Baaaah

Not to mention we won 3-0 yesterday without either playing.

Lee finding his power again is huge. He's been on fire lately.

Cubs beat the Phillies 5-1! Wood with another strong outing.

Cubs now 6-1 against the NL east this year. The feast continues! Three game sweep in philidelphia I can feel it!

yes amazing isn't it?...Lidge in in the 8th!

LOL hit given up by Lidge, then he nails a batter. Then the catcher throw an error. 2nd and 3rd no outs! Astros falling apart?

Hahahah Brewers choke don't score anything.

This is fun watching the Brewers/Astros struggle against each other. :D Battle of attrition.

Lidge has closer mentality. When he gets into jams he brings his best stuff. Imagine if that had been Dotel! game would be 9-6 brewers..

From Clutchcity forums....

"I heard an interview with Beltran on 610am tonight. In it he said that he'd be willing to sign with the Astros now, if they promised him that they would make the necessary moves it took to win. He followed that up with "I'm tired of losing.".

LEAVE NOW BELTRAN IF YOU EVER WANT TO WIN! The curse is all over this franchise.

So close to .500 for the Asstros, yet so far away.

He needs to sign with the Cubbies. We'll welcome him with open arms. PLus he could play on a winning team.

What qualifes as winning team nowadays? A team that manages to get above .500 3-4 times out of decade then get owned in playoffs?

"Winning team."

LOL...

Chi Sox win another without Maggs or Frank. Remember when I said in here right before the break to watch out for Carlos Lee?

In his last 8 games:
8 runs, 12 hits, 6 homers, 12 RBIs, .440 average, .517 OBP, 1.160 slugging, 1.677 OPS

flat out ridiculous.

goddamit, Griese!
also, Shingo Takatsu is the best offseason move of the year for any team, IMO. Salary is only $1 million a year, and look at his stats this year:

37.2 IP 20 hits 5 runs, 2 HR, 9 BBs, 27 K, 4-1 record, 8/8 in saves, .152 BAA, .75 WHIP, 1.19 ERA

nice move Kenny Williams.

My mission, should I choose to accept it, is to construct a 9 man team + 5 starters who at one point where Houston Astros or in their minors.

This should be fun.

He's finally playing like the Dodgers were hoping he would but this time it's been all year so far. What i want to know is what's up with LoDuca, he's been in a slump ever since the All-Star Break.

Unfortunately it's signs of LoDuca's annual post All Star Break slump rearing it's ugly head again. I'd like to see Tracy's strategy of resting him every so often work, especially if any post-season play is involved.

However, it's fantastic to see Beltre playing so great.

WOO! I knew in my heart of hearts the Dodgers would come back and win so I went and played a game of NCAA.. came back and before reloading the score on ESPN I said to myself, "I know we won the game." and BAM, I see Beltre hit a walk-off. OH YEAH!

It's really a shame Beltre is having his break-out season in this contract year.. I hope we dont let him bolt and that he doesnt ask some exorbitant amount of money to return. Come on dude, we've stuck with you through thick and thin -- stick with us!

That's nothin. Since almost EVERYONE was a member of the Braves organization at one point in time, a "Former Braves' Team" would look absolutely MONSTROUS.

"Carlos Hernandez (7-3) continues his hot streak and got the win for the Zephyrs with his seven innings of play. Hernandez, who gave up no runs in his previous start, gave up only three hits in the game."

C.Hernandez 7-3 3.81

---

sweet. About the only good Astros-related news recently has been about Carlos. The game before this, he pitched 7 and K'd 10. Bring him up soon! Even if he screws up it couldn't be worse than Redding!
