Terminator to Terminator 2 is the same as Alien to Aliens. Preference on type of film you enjoy more. Both films equally achieve what they set out to do and do so extraordinarily well.

I do love Aliens as well a lot more than Alien, but both T are Cameron, so yeah.

I mean, Terminator 2 is a fucking masterpiece, a classic, it's still uber impressive nowadays.

Fuckin Electro over Kraven, Mysterio, Stilted Man, Hobgoblin or Serpent Society? And black washing Electro?

Complaining about Foxx playing Electro would be a valid point, but is it really black-washed when Electro is incredibly nondescript and not very established?

It would've been one thing talking about black-washing if it was Cletus Cassidy as Carnage being played by a black actor, as he's supposed to be a Sam Rockwell-Wild Bill Wharton, but Electro? Saying that's black-wash just comes off as plain-old racism.

If I was force to pick between all these awful spiderman movies it would be

sm1>>>>>>>>>sm3>>>>sm2>>Asm

- sm1 is lot better then the others, Willem Dafoe as green goblin was the best thing to happen in any of the spiderman movies and some scene at the start was cool.

-2 was just ultra boring I fell asleep trying to watch that, it's really awful.

-sm3 was at least silly so it's better then 2

-asm was like someone had watched sam rami shitty movies to get an idea what spiderman is and what fans want then made an even shitter movie from the lessons learnt.

Just saw this tonight. I was super skeptical after the early trailers showing off the bad CG, and indeed the CG in the movie was kind of bad, but overall I really liked it.

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone were great and worked well together. I like Garfield as Peter Parker, and I like what they did with the story. All-in-all, I think I liked this film a lot better than any of the previous trilogy. I haven't seen the second one in a while, but I really wasn't a fan of Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker, so the change of actors alone really makes this more enjoyable for me.

The stylized shots are classic poses from the comics........ I swear you guys' comments get dumber and dumber by the minute.

I give up trying to understand other people's behaviors and opinions, too much work.....

As a reader of spider-man comics for 27 years your full of shit. The reality show bobbing head camera is not a "classic comic book pose" nor is first person parkour cameras.

Really, you prefer SM3 over 2? SM2 is a top tier super hero flick. One of the best. SM3 is actually worse than what most people say. It's not even the story that is the problem (though it is messy), it's that it feels like no one involved in the first two were involved in it. It feels like Sam let one of his brothers do the whole movie or something. It just LOOKS off, the entire movie. Every one seemed to be phoning it in HARD, except for Toby, who was hamming it up as much as possible. I swear the movie is 80% CGI. All the action scenes look like terrible, muddy green screen with the actors heads pasted on to CGI bodies.

There was just no passion in SM3. ASM is much better than SM3, but not anywhere near the first two. I feel like a sequel can end up being as good as 1 or 2, though. But it is kind of crazy to me that anyone prefers 3 over 2. That'd be like preferring Last Stand to X2.

The worst part of this movie was when Peter Parker entered the algorithm into the computer, and after it didn't work on the first couple of rats Dr. Connors FLIPPED HIS FUCKING SHIT LIKE A BABY. This is a scientist who has wasted away decades of his life chasing meaningless research, and he can't wait through 30 seconds of testing to see if this high school kid's magic formula will work? So fucking stupid, I mean they had an establishing scene 20 minutes earlier where Dr. Connor was telling Mr. Money Bags that the research needed more time, and he ought to be patient. What happened to that guy? He's supposed to be a scientist. And how'd he get all that equipment to the sewers and where does he get the power and why is Gwen Stacy wearing a mini skirt at her science job and

wow, i think most fans of these types of movies would still put SM2 as top 10 all time. Strange to see someone put 3 ahead of it in any way.

SM2>>ASM>>>>>SM1>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>SM3.

I really enjoyed garfield more than maguire as peter parker. Doc Oc is still the best villain in all the spidey movies. Unfortunately Lizard is one of the worst.

Amazing Spider-Man was watchable to me, but I still like all three of Raimi's Spider-Man movies better.

Compared specifically to Spider-Man 1, there are a few particular areas of weakness:

1. Garfield wasn't enough of a dork to be a good high-school era Peter Parker. From the very beginning, he is too sure of himself. Peter Parker is a full-on nerd: shy, a bookworm. Not a misunderstood, brainy misfit who goes around school toting a skateboard on his shoulder, cracking wise to his teachers.

2. Every iconic scene from Spider-Man's origin story is handled better in the Raimi version.

3. The art direction here was too dark and departed too much from the classic feel of the comics. Virtually every action scene takes place after dark. This is Spider-Man. Not Batman.

4. The villain was paper-thin and uninteresting.

5. The action scenes were decent, but Raimi is a better director of action than this guy and it shows.

The only things that work a little bit better in ASM compared to the previous trilogy are the romance, and the trademark punning that spider-man has always been known for during the battle scenes.

But still, I don't hate it.

I just watched and I enjoyed it. But there's something that bothered me about it, especially the beginning. I don't quite know how to put into words, I guess the scenes felt disconnected, if that makes sense. It was definitely better than Spider-man 3 which was a total train wreck but I don't know if I prefer it to 1 and 2.

Also I was never really a fan of Emma Stone but she looked really good in the movie. Blond hair suits her well.

I liked the movie until he really was spiderman and everything with the Lizard.

Great Peter Parker and everything early on was good, but the movie turns to crap in it's later half and all the Spiderman parts were pretty sloppy feeling. The whole movie was so disjointed and felt like it was chopped to heck.

nope, Peter Parker is not shy, he's a total dick even before he was spider man. garfield nailed the douchy cool calm peter parker, the amazing.

no one likes or wants to see shy full on wimpy bookworms in a movie anyway

Did anyone play the tie in game? Because it is pretty awesome. It's better than the movie, actually. I really hesitate to even call it a tie in game, since it is its own story set after the movie with Conners and the movie outfit. That's really pretty much it. The tone is much more like the comics, Gwen doesn't really look or sound anything like Emma Stone, and Spiderman really sounds nothing like Andrew Garfield. It's pretty much a game loosely based on the movie. It actually looks and feels a lot more like the Raimi movies, except for all the transformerish robots.

Game play is like the Raimi movie games mixed with the Arkham games. Which means awesome. It gets a bit repetitive, but it is about as good as you can get for a movie tie in game. The best since Wolverine, which was similarly better than the movie.

I would have to assume the game is in an alternate reality from the movie, because there is no way there can be a sequel that just skips over the wacky shit happening in this game. But it is fun. For sure perfect if you have Gamefly. Not surprisingly, but still hilarious, the in game model of the Lizard legitimately looks better and more polished than in the movie itself.

It's a tie-in game. There's nothing really great about it, I mean it's at least better than the last Beenox effort, Edge of Time, so it's got that going for it. The only reason it feels like the Raimi films/games is because of the city being mostly bright, shiny and idealistic. Oh and Bruce Campbell.

As bad as the movie was the suit design is still great. I look forward to Venom and Carnage designs. Lizard was a butchered peice of tadpole shit.

The Raimi Spidey games were awesome and those were tie ins. It's a fun Spiderman game that happens to be a tie in game (only kind of). It's the best blend of Shattered Dimensions and the Raimi movie games. It's fun as fuck.

This about sums it up for me. I liked the first two Spiderman movies well enough, but I think I liked this one better over all. Peter wasn't as whiny or annoying. He had early hints of that swagger that people tend to forget Peter had before Spiderman. And Gwen was a hell of a lot better than MJ.

Lizard's CGI was a bit meh. But otherwise, thumbs up.

Jamie Foxx has also been confirmed as Electro:

"[He's a] genius electrician-type person," Foxx says, "and he gets the short end of the stick from the whole world... [T]he next thing you know, he turns it on."

Great casting choices. I'm dissapointed they're doing the Goblin arc yet again though.

I agree but, at the same time, they need to introduce Harry somehow. Hopefully they dont rush right into the Green Goblin stuff.
Between the Lizard, Elektro, and Green Goblin, all the ASM villains are going to be green :lol

And then bring in another green for the fourth: Mysterio!

I wonder where they'll go with Electro.. I'm happy MJ and Harry are in.

It's pretty much made the films predictable IMO, it's obvious the 3rd film will have Gwens death.

Electro is a villain that I really dont care much about so they can do whatever the hell they want with him and I wont be bothered any. A few Spidey of the other Spidey fans I talk to feel the same way. A lot of people are so "whatever" on him.
I hope they can make him more interesting and consistent than the Lizard.

It is predictable but its also a moment I would love to see in a movie. These actors should be able to pull it off good.

Just watched it and enjoyed it very much. Actually enjoyed it more than The Avengers, which I didn't care for.

They got the casting for Harry spot on for the sequel . I liked Franco, he played the dumb rich kid with no friends and a huge disconnect from his daddy pretty well the first two films.

So the dude from Chronicle should knock it out the park.

Why a remake after only 10 years?

I don't usually read about movies before watching them, so I got this one thinking its a new Spiderman movie

You can imagine my disappointment especially that it was even worst than the first with crappier actors

If theres one thing this movie has over the original, its the acting. I have a hard time seeing how Tobey and Kirsten can be seen as better than Andrew and Emma.

But yeah, theyre rebooting it. I dont know all the details but, as I remember it, Raimi was on board for a 4th movie with Tobey but backed out so Sony felt like they had to start from scratch. New director, new actors, etc. It was definitely too soon for a reboot but it is what it is.

First of all, I find it weird that anyone interested in these movies could have gone this long without realizing that it at least had new actors.

But to answer your first point, if the studio doesn't green light a new Spider-Man movie in a certain amount of time, they'll lose the rights back to Marvel. This goes for all of the Marvel movies that are at studios other than Disney.
