I'm actually surprised FX didn't just go ahead and renew it for a fifth and final season since there's no way in hell they'll cancel it with only one season to go.*

Fantastic. I'm glad to see that FX seems to have faith in the show (which it should).
Also, I doubt the show is that expensive to shoot; it's got a relatively small cast with lots of interiors/recurring sets and a period that's probably not that expensive to handle (unlike, say, Carnivale).
