Hey all I just put my Volvo up for sale on craigslist and the ad I made was a little goofy. Can I get some opinions on if it's too much silliness?

What shops did you try over here? A lot of the shops over here are fncking terrible IMO. There's only two shops that I take my car... Hiley on 20 and Collins for the general maintenance and Track Dog Racing over at North Dallas for the custom stuff. I haven't used TDR's services yet but they're one of the nationally recognized Miata specialists, a lot of the Miata's you see on DFW go through them unless the owners did all the work themselves lol.

Black Friday done right. Spent the day in the race group at Infenion Raceway/Sears Point. First time on the track with sportcups on their 3rd day. They're officially done and about to cord.

I'm done with trackdays until spring through. Cold + race tires are an absolute nightmare.

Lots of Mclaren's out there and all fun to chase down. Couldn't keep up with the following cars: 1 458 challenge, 2 race prepped M3's, 1 Radical type car.

Can't wait to hit up Sears Point with a fresh set on a warm spring day. See what sort of laptime I can put down then.

Good incident free day. I now need to replace pads again so off season means, new brake pads and full fluid flush, new tires, alignment and camber kit so it can hold aggressive alignment settings.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Z06/Z07 for track duty. Still bone stock.

I have to sell the car pretty soon because I'm moving cross country in a few weeks and need a larger vehicle that can tow 5000lb+, so this kind of sucks. I'm thinking I may take a hit on sale and just trade it in (even though dealers really don't want a manual car).

Have you tried getting an appraisal from carmax? You can get that and keep that as your last option.

Yeah. I laughed and walked out. They offered me over a grand less than blue book trade in, and about $1500 less than other dealers. Forget them.

That....that's a lot of Volvos...

Do you actually want $7500 for it? Aside from embellishing the ad even more I don't know what else could differentiate it from the pack.

No I'd expect between $6500-$7000 (about blue book for a private sale). I may lower the price some to get attention but in that field of cars I don't know what good it'd do. There are a couple of other T5s being sold by dealers for more, so there's that.

I also have it up on cars.com which has a lot less noise since you can't repost the same ad ten times a day. Hopefully that helps.

I may tag it for luxury, bmw, audi, mercedes so it catches the attention of people who might not think "Volvo" when considering luxury. It's just such an oddball car to sell.

If nothing else I'll run it into a brick mailbox and write it off (okay no, but I'm totally hoping a drunk person smashes into it at night some time).

The interior IS as bland as we all thought it would be. Hahaha amazing.

I hate the fog-lights and amber lights in the lower-valence of the front bumper. Looks awful, I'd much rather have functional ducts there. The protruding nose also makes it look like a Ford Fusion coupe.

The rear end is basically a carry over aesthetically despite not sharing any parts or spec with the current car. Major blandness.

Yeah. BMW isn't tacking on a bunch of shit into a place they don't belong. Even the non-M cars have these really clean LEDs instead, as opposed to two or three different light housings.

The Z07 package was mostly stuff from the ZR1, right? If that's the case I wouldn't expect to see the Z07 package until probably a year or so after the ZR1 comes out.

The Camaro looks much bigger. I still don't like how tall the front end is, but otherwise the mustang is a decent looking car. That last front 3/4th shot actually looks very good.

That interior looks like it's a mess of cheap plastic. And first drives of the car are already confirming what I assumed from the pictures alone. That transmission tunnel cover is a gigantic slab of generic plastic I've seen in 1990s Pontiacs. The airvent surrounds look like a horrible faux-brushed aluminum plastic.

Apparently the doors are wrapped in plastic too, as opposed to soft cloth or soft touch materials.

Edit: Oh and that steering wheel? How in the fuck is that appropriate for a sports car? I thought the Camaro's wheel was horrific...this is equally bad.

Every 'stang I've seen has an autotragic these days. Even the badass looking dudes use an autotragic! The only 'stang I've seen that has a manual tranny was a Shelby GT500 but of course, the owners had no choice as an AT isn't an option.
