Another reason why Pablo and Bends are my two favourites is because they had this raw energy that i didn't felt at all after OK Computer

1. Ok Computer
opening 6 songs are still the best stretch of any of their albums....Let Down is a personal favorite....then you've got Climbing up the Walls, No Surprises and Lucky, pretty amazing.
Electioneering is the only track that's lacking. Should've been Polyethylene in that spot.

Likewise, I think Killer Cars (Mogadon Version) could've replaced Bones on The Bends :)

That's such a hard choice to make, but I might give the edge to in rainbows.

But, I'm loving the idea of combining it with OK computer. Gonna give that a go tonight.

1. OK Computer - I've tried to articulate my thoughts on it multiple times and just can't do it. Best album ever made.
2. Amnesiac - Amnesiac is Kid A with meat and teeth. It's uglier and better.
3. Kid A - I know you think you're very clever for saying this isn't a groundbreaking record, but fuck you. No one sounded like this. Aphex never punched you in the gut like this. Autechre never opened themselves to you like this.
4. The Bends - This is Radiohead at their most accessible and it proves that they can do catchy just as well as they can do sullen. Great straightforward rock album.
5. Hail to the Thief - Probably their most underrated album at this point.
6. In Rainbows - Adult contemporary Radiohead. Very nice album that doesn't reach very high or have any particularly potent moments.
7. The King of Limbs - Not bad bad, but it is Radiohead bad.
8. Pablo Honey - It's an okay album but it primarily serves as a piece of history.

if you've never heard it the cover album Exit Music: Songs with Radioheads is pretty good.

Sia - Paranoid Android https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMT3fxpocXE

Lo Freq - Blow Out - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpBPpq9LolU

I actually don't have a "favourite" because they all hold a special place in my heart. I will say though that although I don't have a favourite, Pablo Honey and TKoL wouldn't be that if I did have one.

I'm partial to My Brightest Diamond's Lucky cover. So good.

OK Computer will always be my fave though on some days it's Kid A.

OK Computer = Kid A > The Bends = In Rainbows > Amnesiac > The King of Limbs

That's would've been a nice choice. Bones is one I've come to enjoy, opening bass line is nice, but it's definitely a lesser track. Sulk is the only miss on the album. Black Star isn't anything special....but that little section near the end where it's Thom Yorke's voice and very little behind him, is great.

The My Iron Lung EP is great
The Trickster is one of my favorite B sides......that would've been my pick to replace Sulk or Bones.
Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong is a creepy, groovy track, maybe doesn't fit as easily, but I would've put it in over Sulk.
Permanent Daylight is a fun shorter track.

There's a 1080 pro-shot copy of the Bonnaroo concert floating around... places.
Yeah, I think a buddy of mine had that back when I lived with him and we watched it. I might be misremembering, but it seemed well made and definitely in high quality.

My favorite band ever and their music means the world to me so I've thought about this a lot.

In Rainbows
OK Computer
Kid A = The Bends
Hail >= King of Limbs
Amnesiac
And somwhere way down there is Pablo Honey

Random notes: Amnesiac being near the bottom does not mean it's the worst. It's an absolutely amazing and unique album unlike anything I've ever heard. But it's the type of album I need to be in a certain head space to listen to. And if King of Limbs was released with the From the Basement performances and Staircase, Daily Mail, Supercollider, and Identikit in the track list, it would have been top 3 material. That album does not get enough credit. Bloom, Separator, Codex, Give Up the Ghost, and Lotus Flower are all incredible songs. It's only the length of the album/Magpie and Feral that bring it down. I personally listen to the Basement version more than the album because every song is infinitely better in that.

So yeah.

Kid A, In Rainbows, OK Computer... those 3 I could put in any order and be happy with.

Honestly wasn't keen on TKOL, although it was still pretty good. Felt like it had more of a significant Thom influence than the previous albums, almost felt like a solo album featuring the rest of Radiohead. It was odd.

I think people underestimate Jonny's electronic input. He's largely responsible for programming a lot of the software, and building some of the hardware. Plus the backbone of the album is the drums and Colin's bass, I think it definitely feels like more of a collaborative effort that Thom's solo stuff.

Ok... this is always very difficult and changing. The top three can and will change amongst one another, however they will usually stay top three. Hail, Amnesiac and Bends will also switch amongst one another, but never fall or rise out of 3-6. King and Pablo always remain.

Here's how I feel today:

Kid A
OK Computer
In Rainbows
Hail to the Thief
Amnesiac
The Bends
The King of Limbs
Pablo Honey

I love then all, but OK Computer was groundbreaking. I'd have to settle with In Rainbows due to its abstract beauty.

Out of the bunch, I like King of Limbs the least, but after repeated listening, I've gone from outright hating it to a mild enjoyment of it.

OP, you are correct that Jigsaw Falling into Place is one of the best Radiohead tracks. Ahh what an awesome song that is.
Such an underrated song. Why the hell don't they play it live, anyway? Last time was in like 09 or something.

Man, I'd kill for a From the Basement version of that. The live versions of that song is ridiculously awesome because of Jonny. As evident here: http://youtu.be/lpk57gB1rBU?t=32m39s

Jonny fucking kills it.

I love every single one of their albums, some for very different reasons than their others. My answer to this thread is OK Computer though. That album was like the Super Mario 64 of music for me... there will never be another one like it.

Let's see some Hail to the Thief love in here, people. It's not without several weak tracks, but there are lots of great songs on that album. Sail to the Moon, 2+2=5, Sit Down Stand Up, We Suck Young Blood, There There, Scatterbrain, A Wolf At The Door, Go To Sleep, Punchup at a Wedding. Nobody talks about it.

Jigsaw Falling into Place is their best song. In Rainbows is their best album, their most difficult to make but it's a masterpiece. The placement of the rest is really up in the air. All of their shit is amazing to me except Amnesiac. Pyramid Song and Knives out are the only good songs on that CD imo but they're VERY good.

OK Computer is fantastic. The Bends has songs that give me chills. King of Limbs is godlike live(in the basement) Hail to the Thief revised tracklist of Thom Yorke is a very good album as well.

there there
the gloaming
sail to the moon
sit down. stand up
go to sleep
where i end and you begin
scatterbrain
2+2=5
myxomatosis
a wolf at the door

You want Hail to the Thief love and you don't even mention Where I End and You Begin? Whaaaat?

Don't make me do this.

Fuck.

Bends
Kid A
Ok Computer
Pablo Honey
Amnesiac

Dunno, haven't listened to any Radiohead post Amnesiac. Had a huge RH period during my early 20s though.

Edit: fucking a, Pablo Honey is one of the greatest albums of all time.

I've been listening to In rainbows non stop these last few days and I'm seeing this album in a new light. Like I've just realized how godly amazing it is.

But I think you have to listen to the full album in one sitting, the individual tracks themselves are not that mind blowing, but when you listen to the whole thing in order it's just... magic. This album is the shit.

OK Computer is really slow and has that stupid Electioneering song in the middle of it.

I'm going to go with In Rainbows, it's just a really nice concise record with some of their best material on it. Fucking Reckoner man.

I find I can only listen to In Rainbows as a whole with the Bonus CD appended on. Otherwise the original ten tracks just feel a little on the slight side.

Tracks like Last Flowers and Up On The Ladder change it from a 'good' album to a 'very good'.

The first time I heard OK Computer, Electioneering was ironically the only track I liked. Well, that and Climbing Up The Walls. I guess they were the only tracks I could easily digest.

My favourite would have to be The Bends. Just a great rock album. I do love their other stuff too though.

I do feel Hail to the Thief is underrated though, really love that album.

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
I love Electioneering. Great political song. "I go forwards, you go backwards, and somewhere we will meet." 'Bout sums it up.

As a whole, Kid A/Amnesiac, but In Rainbows is probably the one I come back to most consistently. Or maybe OKC. I don't know.

The reason I don't like Hail to the Theif that much is because it's so damn bloated. Sure there are some great songs on there, but everything seems all jumbled up and thrown together. Even the songs themselves have more titles than they need.

There is no correct answer to this question. All of their albums have been my favourite at some point, for the exception of Pablo honey and the bends. I think hail to the theif has some of the best songs they have ever done but also some of the worst, it's a pretty confused album. There there, where you and and I begin, wolf at the door and myxomatosis are just mind blowingly good. TKOL has some amazing depth and richness which only becomes evident after a load of listens. Ok computer is an imax movie of of an album, I think you need to be in the right frame of mind of that one. I consider amnesiac and kid a the same album, they were recorded at the same time and have a very similar sound. They are both brilliant and show the band evolving. In rainbows is the easiest album to pick up and listen to as it's got so gorgeous songs on it.

They are easily one of the most diverse and important bands ever with a catalog of amazing music. A brilliant band with brilliant musicians
