You don't see that amount of caping for black women when they get called bald headed bitches for wearing weaves, get back handed compliments for wearing their hair natural or told should only be natural when you Tracey Ellis Ross texture, and shaded otherwise for everything in between on and off social media.

Speaking of appropriation, I'm just now learning where Sriracha originated.

...

I would love an African restaurant. That would be legit.

EDIT: oh snap we have two! There's one right by me! Welp.

They have those. They tend to be more specialised than "African" though.
At least in London, anyway.

I didn't like most of this, tbh.

where's the $%#$^@!$%ing beef?

you went all the way to K-town, to eat some vegetables and a big omelette? You did wrong. You should have had some beef, some porkbelly, some spicy marinated steak chunks, Barbequed. I don't see anything on that table that I would eat besides the kimchee.

didi...don't tell me you're a vegetarian...

So, speaking of natural hair, I actually wanted some opinions on a character design because I don't want to offend anyone. One of the main character's daughters is part of an asexually reproductive non-human race but identifies as black and female. Originally I was planning on having the adolescents of the species look like bipedal jellyfish-canines with "manes," but I was toying with the idea of his daughter "embracing her naps" by styling her mane a particular way. I also threw in some character studies for clarification:

Becryon, infancy
Becryon, adolescence
Character design

I don't think it'll rustle any feathers, but I wanted some opinions to stay on the safe side.

First pic bruh. Also,
I had some BBQ last time (Bulgogi counts, yes?), but I'm going with Korean. Next time, I'll go for Vietnamese and that roast duck.

They are playing k-Pop and k-R&B in here.
And the chopsticks are metal.
I'm trying to fill my gaps.
What vegetarian eats Duck?

I don't see no meat. Is it hidden under all them glass noddles and mushrooms and shit? Because if you saw my plate it would be pretty unmistakably meat in a pile, next to a bowl of rice, and a pile of lettuce.

but I am glad to see that you're not one of the evil vegetarians. there is that at least.

Koreans traditionally use metallic ones, it goes back to Joseon era IIRC. They're shorter than Chinese sticks but longer than Japanese sticks. If you ever go to food stands or food tents in Korea or those cheap hungover spots, chances are high they'll give you metal sticks.

Actually, yes it was. It had a ton of beef but they literally covered it in noodles. The pancake was not good at all. I was so unenthused that I went to the Vietnamese place and ordered a half duck anyway.

Looks like a Pokemon evolution. I like the concepts behind the design.

Oh we got an expert up in here.

South East asia is pretty interesting. I was watching a Jdrama and it was about a Korean girl trying to past as Japanese. And they show the little things the Japanese does to make koreans born in japan feel like shit.

You have to take Korean history while you're in Korea.

And yea life as a Korean-Japanese citizen is rough. You're treated worse than say weeaboos who decide to renounce their American citizenship and take on Japanese citizenship. And by treated worse, I mean they legitimately get less rights.

I kind of prefer watching anime (or any show) as they air on a weekly basis, as opposed to powering through existing season(s). Keeps you grounded, cause I went through all 52 episodes of Kuroko no Basuke in a week...

I usually stay on a one episode a day basis depending on how busy I am.

When I was able to watch shows at work I would go through many series' in a week tho

Really liked The Nightly Show (had it on in the background last night but was on the phone the whole time so I basically missed it, just watched it online). Looking forward to seeing who else he brings in for the panels.

Welp.
It's funny you mention that because they actually were at one point. They're heavily modified versions of concepts from a Pokemon hypothetical I dabbled in a long time ago.

I wonder how many games are born from someone starting out as a fan work of one thing before evolving into its own thing. Like, my initial character design concept was Kingdom Hearts styled characters, but at some point we took a left turn away from belts and zippers and toward neon, leather, and lace. The belts and zippers are still there, but it's been all about the leather and lace going forward.
