We suppose to get an inch of snow Thursday, pray for me.
As long as you can stand and walk upright you'll be OK I think.
So a bunch of grownass people with degrees and shit commissioned and OKed that Nationwide ad? What the hell?
Love it or hate it, people are talking about it. That must have been their primary desire.
Nationwide said:Preventable injuries around the home are the leading cause of childhood deaths in America. Most people don't know that. Nationwide ran an ad during the Super Bowl that started a fierce conversation. The sole purpose of this message was to start a conversation, not sell insurance. We want to build awareness of an issue that is near and dear to all of us-the safety and well being of our children. We knew the ad would spur a variety of reactions. In fact, thousands of people visited MakeSafeHappen.com, a new website to help educate parents and caregivers with information and resources in an effort to make their homes safer and avoid a potential injury or death. Nationwide has been working with experts for more than 60 years to make homes safer. While some did not care for the ad, we hope it served to begin a dialogue to make safe happen for children everywhere.
There was a backlash for that? It was unnecessarily depressing but like legit backlash?
Here's their official statement after the backlash:

Between the "hipster is a racial slur" and "fat shaming is as bad as racism" threads, I've learned that white people really wish that they had a term with as much hateful history behind it as "nigger".

Been there a couple of times. It sucks, especially when it is a lay off, not firing. If I screw something up, then I get it. But laying me off so the executives can continue to get their bonuses is a sham. But the good thing is there is always something else. Might take you awhile to find it, but there is always something else.

Nah, once they came up with stuff like "reverse-racism", racist wasn't exclusive enough for them."racist" is a good start
