Learnt of him for the first time from his breakfast club interview.

Glad the prick ain't liked here

+1

I actually thought the interview was decent at first, but just like Damon Wayans, they asked him that "one" question and it was a wrap. Not surprisingly I googled him and found he was in one of those Hidden Colors "documentary" films that I've mentioned in these threads before (films filled with black conspiracy theories and revisionist history).

It's interesting how the rhetoric you see deployed in discussions centering around obesity is interchangeable from the ones used by right wing conservatives in discussion centering around racism. Why is that?

Some folks just love to hate, but want to be "good" so they direct it towards "acceptable" targets

Charlemange is the Karnak of fuckery, he knows that one question that will break what ever carefully crafted image you have and unleash your fuckery.

Charlemange:*hits him with the god tongue*

Jandro:"I am fucking tired of those MLP hipsters bandwagon jumpers. Where were they in 1987 when I was in Roses digging through Visionaries and Glowworm toys to get that pink horse. Fuck them and the horse they tried to ride in on"

The majority of opinions in America is pretty much fucked. People often demonize and criticize things they don't understand. They don't even take the time to research to inform themselves. Its a very poisonous thing to society as a whole and I really don't see how it could possibly change for the better.

Hate to be negative but I think its a realistic outlook.

My cousin keeps trying to get me to watch that shit. The only reason I put up with his conspiracy theorist nonsense is because he's a good barber but that nigga is crazy. He keeps talking about how Obama is gonna declare martial law and have a third term and some random shit about aliens.

Oh don't worry, it's not just America. It's the same everywhere. Most FB/Twitter/Forums timelines for Europeans right now are filled with xenophobic shit due to the migrant crisis.

I submit we make Power Girl a offical black superhero

She only dates black dudes and she started that shit in preschool

She is all about empowering the black woman and black communtity. Literally she gave super powers and a billion dollars to a black girl and said "Do you baby girl, but I about to jump this universe and git some vitamin D in these guts."

She really is turning into the Teena Marie of superheroes.

I mean, he does mention her in that last section. It's a legacy. One honorary black Power Girl gives her name to a real black Power Girl.

I actually love that, being anointed then rather picking up the mantle either because it is vacant or because the previous person died.

Im just going to say...you don't have to live under a rock to not know what's happening in Hungary. You just have to not live in Europe.

At any rate, you shouldn't assume everyone knows about world events, and that everyone who doesn't know about world events is an asshole. There's plenty of people on GAF who have no idea what is going on in Hungary, and they likely won't be speaking up here, especially with posts like yours.

Guy is right, if there ever was a problem with GAF, it's that people will not about about *things* because they don't know anything about them.

Better stay off that thread before i RIP.

If you watch the interviews you can see exactly when he's plotting to drop the controversial question. Like the other two pretty much butter the guest up and he just knocks em down. Especially in the Tyga interview.

Stems from no one wants to look wrong. couple that with denial and living a bubble. You get some unique ignorance.

So my advertising course had a guest speaker today. It was the Chief Diversity Officer for the university and she was sharing some good stuff, but hardly anyone in the class outside of a handful really seemed to connect with it.

I could also feel about half the class trying to hit me with that force lightning when she asked why using the word "diversity" is considered troublesome in culturally-inclusive circumstances (related to advertising) and I answered "because there's a common stigma in advertising around, uh - for lack of a better way to put it - putting off or scaring white moderates."

She continued on with the discussion and explained it to the class a little further like it was a totally valid answer, too. Sub bigot trolling game is starting to creep into the real world.

Man, discussions about that Mr. Terrific run were a shitshow. Thank god I wasn't on GAF during that time.

comics didn't exist for gaf until 2012

But on CBR and other boards? Man they showed their ass, especially when Terrific dared to say he was the 9th most smartest person on the planet.

It's something you can use to go get drinks with friends casually or go fight Freeza in.

Cecil Emeke uploaded a new video in her strolling series. For those who are unfamiliar with the series it is succinctly described as a series of interviews which "Connect the scattered stories of the Black diaspora".

In this new video she takes a stroll with Abdirashid in Amsterdam, Netherlands where he talks about blackness in the country black face, black pete, somalia, racialisation of islam, education & more. It's a good watch.

https://youtu.be/Be03kzCVhz8

Definitely going to be referencing this in a few months.

Awesome stuff. I wonder if the part of the country where blacks mostly reside should fight for autonomy or least likely independence but still stay in the EUZ. The latter will never happen.

Sexual racism (aka "preferences") is closely associated with generic racist attitudes. It's not surprising but it's nice to have something to point to when people talk about how their preferences have nothing to do with racism.

I stopped kidding myself about "preferential" people after I hit up letterGAF and wrote up some lengthy explanations on why "preferences" can be racy (e.g. having preferences based on race = you're stereotyping entire races, making racially-charged decisions, etc.) and pretty much everyone agreed outside of a handful whom countered with "nah man it's just preferences that doesn't make me me a racist."

EDIT: Actually, you know what? I'll make that thread when I get home.

Just the fact that it's the same shit in a "more progressive nation" just clarifies that there is no safer haven for black folks anywhere. Well then where are you go or even do.

im sure they had their reasons, good valid ones correct?

You ever get in discussions when the person's whole line of thought and reasoning is racist, but they refuse to admit it, but instead go around the world and back to prove themselves right?

No imagine that with comic nerds with photographic memory of issues numbers and shit.
