Just came back from BvS...

I hate to see wasted potential. Like literately the movie had a bunch of interesting plot beats and scenarios but just failed to deliver. Everything about the movie imo just screamed good idea but it just sat there and never really utilized well. WB/DC need to Fire Zack Synder because he is not doing any of the material, actors, etc. justice. Pun Not intended.


Its the MGSV of Blockbuster movies except it didn't have really good gameplay to fall back on.

I too have recently watched Batman v Superman.

The first hour was personally great for me. The credits got the back story out of the way, Bruce Wayne was portrayed nicely, etc etc. At that point, I thought "Perhaps GAF and reviewers over exaggerated, maybe the movie will have a slight downturn and end decent overall".
No.
Oh no.
How wrong I was.
The movie's promise ended around that point, and was a downhill descent into oblivion.
How one can mess up so badly with such a seemingly simple premise is beyond me.

Idk if I'd call it ADD or leaving out key details and adding unnecessary Justice League fluff.

I can't honestly call it a bad movie but I will say it made me angry enough that if Suicide Squad isn't good, I'm sticking strictly to DC's TV shows and Animated Stuff.

I call it ADD because most of the scenes in the movie are short and sprint like a badly timed slide show presentation. Additionally, there's no context or reason for a great deal of the scenes in the movie. The scene are just there. On top of that the trailers gave way too much of the good stuff away.

I will say Ben did an amazing job with what he had to work with and I hope a standalone film is made without snyders input

Yeah, tbh the movie could've been an ounce better if motives were explained better. You pretty much had to guess the entire movie, especially with Lex.

Lex's motives made sense. He hates this Christ like figure for being all powerful and shit. Hates that he is beloved, goes at great lengths to stop that. He hates Superman for existing. Only thing I had any questions with were his motives with the ship.

Going to see BvS tomorrow. Opinions are so divided that I'm mostly curious. Also, everyone is so damn angry. People who like it are going at detractors' heads. People who dislike it act like Snyder pistol whipped them in front of their family. Curious to see what kind of movie causes such reactions.

It's a movie that feels like it's almost amazing. Like you can see all the talent and brilliance and it just fails to coalesce, which makes it almost annoying to watch after a point.

I think I remember liking that theme. But the number of times they play superman's mopy ass theme with the piano had me rolling my eyes. But maybe it's because I hate
his relationship with lois

Yeah, it was pretty awesome, too.

I got an uber to the house so I was just able to quietly show up and ring the doorbell. They were expecting one of my aunts to drop by so when I rang the bell they expected it to be her and it was cool seeing the double takes and huge smiles that followed. Wish I recorded that.

Been having a blast down here also. Watched the Christmas special of Black Mirror and that is some of the best fucking TV ever made, I'm convinced.

No plans yet for what I'm going to do with the rest of my time here.

I always miss so much here! I will add that Batman = Gotham's verison of The Illuminati (Marvel, not conspiracy).

He thinks he knows best, but he'd really do better with more outsider advice/help. But hey, that's part of the conceit.
