I am so sick of barbers and hairdressers going "nah, I can't fix your hair... I don't know about... that [black] hair"

You live in an area with about 50% black british for fucks sake. Learn! People have cut my hair first time with only minor mistakes I would forgive a barber for.

Son of a bitch. Guess I'm going to the "black" neighbourhood again.

God damn even an untrained Japanese girl at least "tried".

Why would you ever trust a white barbershop with your hair?

Upon moving to a new place one of the first things every black person should do is find a black salon/barber.

One time in freshmen year a brother new to the area asked people where he could find a black barbershop. The white people asked why it needed to be a black barber. "Isn't that racist?"

One of the earliest signs where I realized white people largely have a shallow idea of racism even is.

Because I "know" they can cut my half-black hair at least half decently if they just tried. The black barbers, at least where I am, is a long ass walk to a middle of nowhere. I wonder what it looks like from their perspective: a round hole to their square peg of incompetence?

Try to find a black friend who knows how to cut who lives closer or learn how to cut it yourself. It shouldn't be hard to learn to cut it yourself. I know lots of guys that do it.

I learned how to cut my own hair after getting tired of the barbershop routine. You miss out on barbershop talk but it saves a lot of time and money.

There should be a website that maps and reviews black hairdressers in London. Sounds like a simple business model. Too lazy to do so myself.

You could "charge" the barbers a free haircut/shape-up/relaxing in order to qualify for the site. And those models would download the app to "sign up".

I mean, I could really use one right now. (Got like 30 minutes to find a barber that isn't scared of an untidy afro, god help me if I have to walk into work like this tomorrow).

Edit: I ain't cutting my own hair. What the hell? Recipe for disaster.

buying a cable channel is pretty soon going to be pretty attainable. The big fix is in the company to produce the stuff that goes on to it. creating a venue is one thing, filling it is another, and keeping the whole ball rolling is an entirely separate deal.

talk about it all, because it makes sense to have it all, I think.

I went from paying 15 with a 3 dollar tip to 30 bucks with no tip. barbershops are losing a friend in me. and these dudes want you to call and make appointments, but if you just show up without one, the place is empty and dude may or may not be there. I guess barbershops done changed....

shoulda never gave the niggas cellphones.

edit: Cindi, don't float away. East Texas has a bad history with water.

Last time guy wanted a fiver for what took over an hour. Like, less than minimum wage.

Went back to my school today for an interview. Felt some nostalgia there mainly from being able to have a place somewhat to myself and feeling a bit more independent. We still have the best Starbucks menu of any Starbucks I've been in. Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes, brownies, chicken and waffles, muffins and cupcakes of all types and other shit I'm forgetting about. Saw some familiar faces and the women still look good. If I was thinking I would've hit you up Bronx-Man and tried to see you.

We have something similar on the campuses I've been at, though only the Barnes & Noble extension variants have had Cheesecake Factory stuff. Never seen chicken and waffles at starbucks but I'd bite.
