Does, anyone here know of any games, non-video. That can be played with both adults and children ages 5+. I'm finding it very difficult to find games outside of the typical, Monopoly/sorry/life things that's going to keep grown folk and children a like interested. Like I was willing to do cards against humanity but that's not child appropriate, though it'd keep the older people entertained. If I don't find nothing it'll be my last resort.

You ever tried those entry boardgames like Settlers of Catan or maybe even Agricola? Let me fetch a link for a guy that does reviews of boardgames.

EDIT: http://www.dicetower.com/ He usually does reviews with his young daughter(s?) so they review also boardgames for 'kids'.

Y'all wanna see some poor woman suffer a devasting ankle injury?

Of course you do!

LMAO was she deciding to play along or did she not know what to do?

Don't to that under any circumstances. The issue is that most grown people are not going to want to learn something new, so it keeps the options to a minimum. UNO has been my go to game recently when different generations of family show up to the crib.

Black card revoked
Naw homie. I got all the cards. I got black, I got brown and I even got that four leaf fo your ass. you ain't taking my card cause I'm asking about board games for the babies nigga.

I was going to suggest Ghost Blitz but I think the recommended ages is 8 and up (requires a certain level of perception and quick thinking). It's a hell of a lot of fun though, and the physical aspect of it makes it fast and exciting.
This might work, the 5 year old is some what perceptive, just likes to show off.

I'll check this out more. I skimmed it a bit and see some games a nephew of mine would actually enjoy.

Its on the list of course. But I got an uncle that take it too far.

I mean at the end of the day, I'll probably have it around for when the kids go to sleep. Uno is on the list of course, but shit gets real with that when you start dropping them draw 2's and 4. I got the create a card version where theres a swap hands. I guess I'm just looking for more variety in the event people get board. I'm in charge of games and I suck at it so.

Maybe try Apples to Apples or a game like checkers or Go that's easy to pickup.

I don't have any names for specific games, but I think that the DLC podcast would do you a solid. They have a dedicated board game segment each week and cover a lot of games that they try with their young ones. They pretty much cover whatever they find that is new on the streets. Makes me want to play em.

What up, Shy!

I went to the National Museum of African American History and Culture yesterday.

Anyone who can make it needs to go there at least once in their life.

I only made it through one floor the entire time I was there because there was just SO much.

It's a really amazing and inspiring place to be at. I absolutely recommend it the next time you're in D.C.
