It really depends on the situation. When I was POF-ing like it was going out of style, I met many women who were probably just looking for that "mandingo experience". I say that because they all had no problem coming to my house and hitting on the first meeting. At the time, I was fine with being used like that and obviously they were fine with it. Now, I wouldn't be cool with the arrangement. But where I was then, it was all good.

There are couple of spots in town where on certain nights, it is all about the interracial hookup. From what I have heard, that is.

Most modern superhero movies are about the ugly side of humanity. X-Men deals with racism, Hulk, Iron Man, and DC involve people attempting to harness superhuman power for their own ends(usually military stuff), etc.

I think Marvel just didn't know what to do with the X-Men. They can't just make mutants accepted cause that's taking away story angles and event fodder, but they also can't actually do anything with the concept because the books last 6 months before dying now.
