I used to loathe eating that shit in front of white people but then I was like you know what, why the fuck am I thinking about what white people think of my appetency for some watermelon?
They can come over and say all the ignorant underhanded comments they want about me eating watermelon but I feel if I don't eat it in their faces that I both encourage the stereotype but yet show that I don't give a fuck about what they think of me encouraging some old outdated stereotype (when I know for a fact white people love fried chicken and watermelon more than some black people I know.)

I tolerate WSHH - I don't like the way the site's set up, but if someone links me to a video I won't complain. I was annoyed at that crop of videos from a few months back where people would start fights or do stupid stuff just to get on WSHH, complete with yelling out the name of the website 20+ times, but I don't see videos like that very often anymore. However, it's telling that the other types of videos on that site (interviews, music videos, spoken word, etc.) are rarely linked to, on GAF or other sites. It's mostly fights, fight compilations and stupid stunts.

I don't follow WSHH regularly, but on GAF any time a WSHH video is posted it is centered around something stupid involving black people 99.9% of the time. Black women getting hit, black people fighting in Popeyes, etc... I have never seen someone post a WSHH video on this forum of something like the presidential debate or a lady saving a cat or something semi positive. This is why most of GAF don't like the site vs YouTube regardless of if both sites host the same content.

I really do hate Hollywood. In high school my friends gave me shit over what I ate for lunch a lot. For a while I was getting fried chicken and grape soda damn near everyday. It never went beyond jokes, but in the beginning I did let it bother me a bit and changed what I was eating. Later on I just gave it up since it wasn't a very healthy diet. These days I don't let other people determine what I'm gonna eat. Don't have the energy to care.

How does black gaf feel about walking into mom and pops average joe cool barber shops without black people?
I've only done it twice and with mixed results. First time was some older asian dude who gave me one of the cleanest edge ups I've ever gotten. Wasn't going to test him further than that.
Second edge up was by a hispanic guy who had no clue what he was doing.
Ever since then I've just gone with me own color, but has anyone ever straight up went into a white owned barber shop with a mini fro or any decent length and had the balls to say, "hook me up with a ceasar, shadow fade me in the lower back and in the corners?"
I've half expected their response to be, "Sorry sir, but I don't fuck with dat."

Puerto Rican and Dominican barbers in NYC are official, that said, I would never randomly go into a barbershop without references and thorough scouting of their work.

No offense was meant, I know they've some clean Puerto Rican barbers in NY, but at the time I'm talking a young kid with a bad haircut in farm fucksville virginia where you can smell cowshit outside.

Fuck caring what people think about me in general, but definitely when it comes to what I eat.
I'll tear up some fucking watermelon, in front of white people, asian people, babies, small animals, I don't care. Food is food. Good food is great. I may work hard to try and not perpetuate many of the negative stereotypes that surround black people, but loving watermelon and fried chicken isn't solely on us, but I feel no shame in admitting that I love it.
Also, Popeye's is the shit. KFC is weak sauce. There are so many better chicken options out there than KFC. It's not god awful, but it doesn't hold a candle to Popeyes, or even Church's chicken. Personally, though, when it comes to fried chicken, nothing beats making it at home myself.
I've only been reading up on the last few pages of this thread, but it's almost like black Gaf is schizophrenic GAF, because I think we've jumped to about 10 different subjects in as many pages. Lol. I kept losing track of the conversation.
EDIT: On haircuts, a long, long time ago, when I still lived in Milwaukee, WI, I went to a Supercuts where the barbers were all white. This cute girl, probably in her early 20's, cut my hair. It was pretty bad, but I could tell that she seemed intimidated by cutting a black male's hair. I didn't make an issue of it, and just rocked the weak cut until I got it cut again later. I felt bad for her, because she probably just had little experience with black hair. I think any good barber will adapt and get better with experience. I won't rag on 'em too much for it. I did never go back to Supercuts, though. Lol.

Seems like a catch-22. Most people who want it done right will go to a black barber so these other barbers aren't getting any experience cutting black hair. No excuse to not make a go of it at least, since it's the customer's choice to have come to your store, which sounds like what most will do even if the results aren't great.
Yeah, I was about 17 or 18 when that happened. I just don't think Supercuts is very good to begin with, no matter who's hair they're cutting.

My barbers are Jamaican, I get my haircuts based on when Usain Bolt is running and what soccer match is on, cause if I go there during those times my cut will take approximately 13 hours.

I just go to the closest and cheapest one. Run by a Pakistani family (3 dude barbers and a girl) and they ALL do it differently. It's not even about what cut you want; it's about which chair you wait for. And they are always dancing to Bollywood movies. It's hilarious.
